Was catching Axew in Pokémon Go for community day (shut up). Got home. Mrs Shark in terrible mood. Played with baby shark. Spoke with nana and grandad shark. Cooked dinner for Mrs Shark. Mrs shark still a bit cunty.
Room in my life for sex worker shark, soon.

Those first months are tough on new mums mate. The baby is all consuming that they don't have time or headspace for anything or anyone else. Just have to give them the space and then slowly start to focus on you as a couple, with date nights or whatever. Not easy all round though.

Failing that, watch out for divorce lawyer sharks. As they actually are sharks.

Just have to give them the space and then slowly start to focus on you as a couple, with date nights or whatever. Not easy all round though. It's so hard for new mums as Dougs has said. I remember trying to delicately balance time for all of us, giving Mrs CK time alone as often as possible, whilst also trying to get some time to myself without it feeling like I was fleeing the family. There will always be some resentment in the early months as generally (and obviously all family situations are different) the partner gets to leave every day for work, so any additional time away on top of that adds fuel to the fire. It's an emotional minefield.

I think we’re both struggling a bit with trying to keep baby happy and supporting each other. And it’s unreasonably hot so that’s not helping.
We put the crib together today in a tag team effort. Small victories.

For the last few hours, getting drunk in an attempt to forget everything I've ever experienced so I can wake up tomorrow as a headache with a clean memory slate. What's up Mike?

Small victories. Take what you can! Keep talking if that's an option. All of my fuckups are from failing to speak. Nothing breeds resentment like an internal monologue

Me and the (now-ex) missus split up last week, but have "remained friends" which is code for "We are both pretending that we aren't both super uncomfortable but still making the effort to talk every day".

Any chance of a reconciliation? Nope. And I don't think I'd want to. I'll PM you about it, don't really feel like taking it to the Match thread or further polluting this one.

Hope you're going okay Mike.
I was threatened by an anti-vax fuckwit who apparently lives in the building next door.

Smoking some short ribs, drinking beer and chilling in the hammock. Later I'll play Jedi survivor, have a couple of spliffs and some wine.
Wife and daughter are awy until Tuesday so I've left the toilet seat up and embracing the quiet.

National Trust property Sunday followed by chip shop tea.
We found a bee digging itself a little nest hole that kept the boy transfixed for nearly 20 minutes on one of the woodland paths.
Saturday was very fraught with Mrs Simple and son at each others throats all day.

I'm currently sitting outside a pub waiting for a lift and enjoying the fresh air. Anti-vaxers are a special kind of insane.

Slow start with the Sunday paper. Bacon butty and flat white.
Off to the gym in the afternoon with the lad, then a bit of sitting in the sun and watching the Tour de france.
Fajitas tonight, currently sitting in the sun with a coffee before a 20km or so gentle bike ride. Then maybe a beer.
Because I. Am. On. Holiday. Next. Week.

Got back this morning after a weekend away sans kids (headed back slightly earlier as my wife wasn't feeling great), picked up one of the kids and dog, mowed the lawn, did some weeding, listened to the cricket with a neck oil or two. Now having a G&T before contemplating food. Early night, knackered, who knew doing sod all yesterday could be so tiring!

My garage has never looked tidier, at least about 2/3rds of it anyway, was gonna cut down a bit of very manky rope the last occupant had previously used to hang pheasants and whatnot I think, found out yesterday he passed away so decided to leave it as homage to him.

Down at the rowing club this morning. I’ve done my training weeks and now a fully paid up member. So I was sculling in a coxless quad with just the nicest people on the planet, on the Caledonian canal ten mins from home which really is fucking beautiful, and it was just an amazing way to spend a Sunday morning. My folks are up visiting as well so we just chilled with them after in the sun.
Just feel lovely now.
Until tomorrow when I know work will be mental then my brain will break again and everything will be shit again but hey, enjoy the good times innit.

Ach, helps keep you young(ish)!
If not, it'll help fight the muscle wasting that kicks in from 50!

Just had a couple of beers and a swim. Not sure I swam hard enough to burn the beers, but it was a relaxing afternoon.

Trampoline park and then swimming with wife and daughters.
Swimming ended early as someone else vommed in the pool and everyone ran out the pool like in Jaws.

You went swimming drunk?
That's what happened to poor Crissy Watkins in Jaws. The shark fucken killed her.
He wouldn't have killed her if she was sober.
He'd only have maimed her a little
