No point logging into a Blizzard game for at least a week after launch. It's been an incredibly smooth launch so far, although admittedly it's not out properly until Tuesday. I was fully prepared for a clusterfuck of errors, queues and lag given Blizzard's history, but have had none of that. It's pretty much all that I did yesterday. C U Next Tuesday then.

It's days like this that make me feel very grateful for living by the coast. A couple of hours this morning sorting out stuff at my mum's, then down the beach for paddle boarding, sun, tea, doughnuts and repairs to the beach hut. Then to the pub for the Sunday quiz, pool and a bite to eat at home before collapsing. Aces. (I'll ignore the marital strife for staying in the pub too long but all good now!).

I've been to the beach or detoured for a ride along it on the bike every day this week.

Nature walks with the bairn. Saw a sabre wasp in the wild for the first time ever. That is a long insect.

Bloody knackered. Spent the weekend at the scottish rowing championships in Glasgow as the boy's club was competing. It's basically nonstop from Thursday nights boat loading, then travelling on Fri, then two 12 hour days outside carrying boats and cycling up and down the loch, more boat loading, then three hours in the car and now I'm at my desk sunburned and knackered. Boat unloading after work for another 3 hours then it'll finally be over until the next one.
Bloody good though, and the boy's club did so fucking well considering the calibre of what they were up against. Some of the others in their age category looked like fully grown adults and built like the proverbial brick shit house. However the club held it's own in every bloody event they partook in. Phenomenal stuff and because it was multi-lane simultaneous racing as opposed to the time trial stuff we do up here, it was quite excting. And what a weekend! Blue skies for miles and the sun beating down the entire time. Beautiful.
However, I want sleep.

Was supposed to be going for a walk with the family and dog but #scorchio.
Decided to bring the BBQ forward to lunchtime instead and the boys are now planning to play the shit out of Fortnite this aft.
Guess a few ciders in the hot tub/sun to ease the meat overload that I'm cooking right now. The winds deceptive, sun is hawt!

Fired up the barbecue, took ages because I think I threw the charcoal chimney out. An hour of fucking about for a 5 minute cook of a few sausages and a burger

So long as you were drinking beer & poking the fire, that's not time wasted, it's the best bit.
Not that gas bbq-loving user Dougs would know! 😉

Got up. Read book by pool. Ate. Read book by pool. Went in pool. Fell asleep. Ate. Listening to tennis by pool.
Holidays are fucking great. I need to do them more often.

Weekly shop this morning, nap after lunch in the sun, now down the beach about to go paddle boarding. Then a perfectly nice, efficient BBQ later.

Enjoy your hours of unevenly cooking your food, I'll be full and happy long before then 😉👍

Gas gang unite! We'll be firing ours up a few minutes before we start cooking later. It's just so much less faff if you're just grilling a few bits of meat.

BBQ here as well. Proper fire, none of this gas nonsense.
Just been reading in the back garden, it's hot! Very lazy day. Just cracked open a beer. Happy days 🍻

Bit of Diablo, bit of gardening now out back with the kindle. Bit of cloud now so it’s just pleasantly warm. Nice.

Family shop this morning, then popped out to buy a bit of timber, started knocking up a planter this afternoon, it was peeing down here this morning otherwise we would have probably thought about having a BBQ.

Quick mooch around some shops and then lunch and a paddle in the sea, then got the weekly shop out of the way. Back home and spent the afternoon in the garden chilling with my kindle and the cats (with a 20 minute bit of Diablo thrown in for the world boss spawn)
I could absolutely murder a beer right now! Missus just had to make the craving a hundred times worse by getting a bottle for herself while shopping and drinking it in front of me.

I didn't think i could be arsed, was happy with a cuppa and a magazine but my wife was out with the kids (borrowed a mate's very nice board as well as ours) and couldn't resist. As soon as i was on the water, all stresses just seemed to fade away. I'm not very good (crap knees make it a bit difficult) but I love it out there.

So, tip run to bin a load of shite in the morning, had the olds out for sausage or bacon butties in the sun (had one of each- result!) with eton mess after.
Then wife went out to a charity do with some chums, so i bogged off for a couple of hours cycling in the sun. Home, beer, food, now a nice coffee, and about to crack some beers and support Inter.
Nice day so far! 😀

While I was walking the dog I took a detour into what looked like a nice bit of woods that might give me a shortcut back to the car. Pretty quickly turned into an ordeal as the trees were all really low so I was having to duck, there were brambles catching my legs, the dog was choosing different routes so I ended up dropping his lead to let him do his own thing.
And then when trying to follow him I ended up trapped inside a group of extremely spiky trees and genuinely thought I was going to be stuck there forever. Eventually I dragged myself out cutting myself all over my arms in the process. Then I found an exit that I was sure would be a bit nearer to the car but it actually turned out that I was further away from where I'd entered the woods, somehow.
No more detours, they hurt.

Dropped kid#3 at the cinema then had breakfast out with Mrs hedben and kid#2. Came home and blew up the paddling pool. Collected kid#3 from the cinema. Put up a temporary fence in the garden so the dog can’t escape while the hedge is being replaced. Pottered about the garden pulling up plants. Watered the garden with the water from the paddling pool. Now settling down with a drink and watching some TV
Pretty ideal Saturday

Yea it's surprisingly easy to get lost even in familiar situations, I remember a few years back I'd taken the boys out for a runaround in an area of woodland I thought I was pretty familiar with and we took a detour to get back to the car quicker and ended up walking around for probably another hour which is nuts as the car absolutely had to have been only about 15mins away throughout.

Long dog walk this morning before it got too hot.
Family breakfast, then dropped everyone off places and spent the rest of the day sitting in the garden with the dog, high on edible, listening to audible.

Wife worked overnight so she was sleeping most of the day. My mum helped look after the little one while I did a fresh Windows 11 install on her new laptop and transferred documents over. The old laptop originally came with Windows 7 so it was long overdue a replacement.
The rest of the day was spent doing some gaming and then had a couple of beers in the garden this evening.

For the last few hours, getting drunk in an attempt to forget everything I've ever experienced so I can wake up tomorrow as a headache with a clean memory slate.
