Never heard of the Nova Twins. They’re pretty good! Yeah, they go harder than most of the milquetoast radio 6 bands on this weekend Just cos we mentioned nu-metal earlier and Nova Twins are broadly related to something going on at the moment. There’s a big rise in nu-metal influenced and adjacent bands right now and virtually all of them seem to be made up of people of colour and a lot of them have female members. Big shift from what defined the bigger bands and (especially) the fanbase first time around. Plus loads of them actually seem to have something to say beyond ‘screw you dad’ |

Saw her many years ago - at the Summer (in)XS at the old Wembley in 1991. Crazy to think she'd still be belting out these anthems in 2023.

Am I crazy for thinking Elton is going to be incredible this evening? When he brings it he can really deliver and its going to be a real celebration.
Until Astley and Grohl crash the stage anyway.

He's one of the most consistently good live performers out there, so it's going to be great. Throw in the fact that it's his final UK show and hopefully, we'll get something really special.
I like his music but wouldn't describe myself as a massive fan but I saw his show in Hyde Park last summer and it blew me away. Such a massive mix of people all having a great time.

GnR sounded considerably better than when I saw them a few months back so perhaps the occasion will lift Sir Elton as well. It’s clearly a bit special as an occasion. I imagine as long as he sticks to crowd pleasers it will be a hell of a show.
