Uncomfortably numb...

Since this thread has been bumped, I have a bit itch to scratch with this again. I must complete elden ring first, but I think this is going to be the next thing to resume. My thoughts were about the same, however I'd probably compare this to Elden Ring and this would surely lose, so it's best, IMHO, if my next game is a contrast opposite game, maybe an FPS or something...

Yeah, true, that could happen. But I'm thinking that I love dragon's dogma for different reasons - mainly the humour and the combat. I think it's worth a shot, at least

DD is one of my favourite games of all time, and I think I must have bought it 4 times - the original PS3 release, the release with addon, the PC version, and the Switch version.
It might not be the shiniest game anymore, but I am pretty cofident that the combat, general atmosphere and all the cool little details still hopd up very well, even compared to Elden Ring.

Yup, it's in my top ten too, for sure. And yes, PS3, then the Dark Arisen for PS3, then the switch version of it, and then I think the ps4 version. I have no idea which console has my latest save on There's just something about it that clicks in every way. I have to play Ranger class though, that's the only caveat.

Still upset that they removed the banger/cheesy theme for Dark Arisen. And never brought it back, for any rerelease.

Dragon's Dogma II confirmed!
It's only "in development" for now, though.

Fantastic news, even if it was an open secret before. Zero footage though, must be s long time away.

That's kind of my fear as well... but hey, who knows? Maybe it's further along than the anniversary event would lead us to believe.

Oh, bollocks - have I jinxed it already?
I wouldn't say no to another Monster Hunter game. I loved World, despite not having the faintest idea what I was getting into, and I would've checked out Rise/Stories 2 if they'd come to PlayStation.
Nergigante can fuck right off, though. I still have nightmares about that scaly git.

I just have to add that I loved how they introduced the game, taking off their tops to reveal t-shirts adorned with its logo - the whole stream was just so damn wholesome, and I got a kick out of it.

I should try the 1st one again, I ran into some DLC area and got destroyed and gave up IIRC.

DD has an 18million unit elephant in the room to clamber over first JUST. FUCKING. TELL. US. IT. IS. HAPPENING.

Anyway, if you can be bothered to deal with the annoying UI and the Crafting which makes you engage with it as much as possible, then it's definitely worth a try.

Good thing about a new DD game is that capcom are a way better publisher than they were 10 years ago. They are smashing it recently with their games so the sequel will hopefully be a big step up.

Can't wait for DD2. The original is one of my favourite games of all time.

Can't wait for DD2. The original is one of my favourite games of all time. Same here, bought it, I think, 4 times, and played it every time. Which I normally never do. If there was a this gen remaster, I'd buy it again. Can't think of another game where I'd rather have a sequel than DD, none.

Would you say that a pack of wolves is a troubling foe?

It's great news, if not unsurprising. Currently playing through it again on Steam with modded 4k textures and stuff - looks great for a 10 year old game (now).
It's my third version having played it on PS3 (with plat) and the remaster on PS4. Superb game, wonder if they'll integrate co-op in the new one or stick with only pawns.

Oooooh, interesting - I don't suppose it has Steam Workshop support, so I guess I should head to Nexusmods?

Yeah nexusmods, was not the easiest to mod but it looks much better.

Took a punt and bought this. Still nowhere near to beating Elden Ring so don't know what I'm doing, but I guess I'll have it on the back burner for when it's done.

I'm going to fire it up over the weekend and see if I can continue where I left off. As far as I can recall, I was still pissing about in Gran Soren with my pawns intermittently jumping into the fountain and shouting "I'm all wet". Well yes, you're wet because you were mucking about near the fountain you bloody idiots.

Just checked my emails and I've ordered the physical version of the remaster for PS4, but can't remember ever actually playing it and it's not on my shelf... Weird.
Guess I'll do a digital double dip.
/edit £3 on Xbox at the moment. That'll do!

Hoping the sequel will be about the Duke finally commissioning those new roads.
