That sounds ridiculous... I need it now!
Do you need to have finished the vocation quest? I stupidly put the greatsword in a pawn's inventory but then lost it when I gave them the boot, so seem to have locked myself out of completing it (sounds like it auto completes later on in the story though)

Exclamation marks also are the little disc collectibles that are easy to miss. Worth combing the area if there’s a mark there.

Take an ox cart there, a specific enemy will be there and a Mystic Spearhand fighter will be there after you've finished he'll want to speak to you and it will pop up as Vocation learned or some shit then you go to Vocation shop and access it. It's only the player character not pawns. I can only believe it's because so OP it would make everything trivial with a team of them.

Cheers. Could've sworn I'd been back there after finishing that quest, but will have a gander shortly.

Well it makes sense that it's something at least. Next time I see one, I'll be extra vigilant about what I pick up and keep a close eye on the mini map till I suss it.

Or just before getting the quest anyway. I've just got to vernmouth and next step is to see brant at night in the Inn. Ooo, it's all getting quite exciting like the last one!

I was thinking the exclamation marks were just something the pawns had remarked upon. Like ladders or chests. There's a lot to take on board again isn't there! 😀

Was idly chatting with a bison cart dude and about to board when I heard a WHOOSHING sound from behind me, cue my first introduction to a Griffen. It lands on the cart destroying it and killing the bison, everybody in the vicinity starts whaling on it, WTF! After a while it slowly dawns on me, this thing has 3 health bars, the fight started during daylight and continues into the pitch black of night. We get it down to half of its final bar, me clinging onto it with everything I have while it takes flight again, throwing me off eventually from a great height, into the middle of 3 wraiths, they make short work of me. Game Over Cue my cackling It's Monster Hunter but better Innit?

There should be a menu to view friends' pawns if you go into the rift and then interact with the stone. Think you pick the top option then it'll show up. Only one Xbox user in mine

After shitting on the combat up thread I've unlocked and respec'd myself as a Fighter with a Big Stick (sorry, can't remember the proper name) and it has definitely clicked with me. Mixture of ranged, melee and magical attacks all in one, and it all has a bit of a Capcom/Devil May Cry feel to it as opposed to a "traditional" RPG type class type combat.

It's really something when a fight moves so far from where it started that you aggro other enemies, who promptly join the melee - kind of like a Royal Rumble, if all the wrestlers were dumped into the ring at the exact same moment.

It's this chaos mechanic that makes it work so well I reckon. You end up getting trounced for a while and then you get a bit more savvy and work out that no matter how prepared you are, you're never going to be prepared enough, so you learn to react to the most insane buffoonery going, and when it works, it's a massive high

Starting to quite like the archer now. Got the zoom and barrage abilities. If you can distance yourself from the battle you can be quite effective.
I also have the kick jump Jambo mentioned but I’m struggling the pull it off consistently. Looks cool when I do though.

I was eyeing that up too. That kick jump sounds pretty fun too!

Yeah, it’s tough on fast moving / flying enemies though. If you have the jump on some goblins though it’s pretty effective. Also for cyclops as they are a big target. Gotta hit that eye!
I’ve been looking out for your pawn quad but I can’t seem to find it for some reason.
The jump attack is hard to pull off, at least for me. You have to sprint, jump, kick then jump again as you land the kick. Then you can loose an arrow as you backflip.

Yeah I’ve not pulled off the backflip well enough yet.
Love the archer though. No way am I changing.
Also just spent 500rc to remake my character so she doesn’t walk like she’s shit herself. And she still walks like she’s shit herself.

My Pawn keeps yelling, "I'll turn you into a pincushion!" at enemies - I guess it's pretty on-brand for an archer, but I haven't the heart to tell the poor girl that goblins and wolves don't know what the fuck a pincushion is.
