Has anybody managed to find any of these ladders that my pawns are constantly wittering on about? Yes, they do seem to do that a lot. I found looking on the map for a treasure chest or exclamation mark was sometimes helpful… but only sometimes mind. It is worth searching for loot though - I’ve found a beetle thing that upgraded my carry capacity and there are Seeker Stones hidden about the place that you can turn in to one of the vendors in the city for rewards. It’s perhaps a little too easy to become encumbered by all the stuff there is to pick up. Oh, now that makes me think. In the first one, I make my pawn huge as possible because it increases their carrying capacity. Does the height and weight do the same mechanic in this one too? Because that's how I make my character light as fuck, because my pawn gets everything chucked in his sack. |

Enjoyed my first 45 minutes or so. If you've already got the main character and pawn created then it doesn't faff about with getting you into the action with a full party.
A much stronger start than the original, that's for sure.

Capcom has had micro transactions for well over a decade. They're not above this stuff at all. People still love their games. The fact it's been like this for a decade shouldn't mean that people shouldn't be vocally opposed to it though? Quite the opposite, in fact complain away. |

I could probably get a couple of hours in on it tonight, but then probably not again until Monday. The sensible thing would be to wait until Monday.... Man, fuck sensible. Play a bit now. I would be if it wasn't for being in work and having some other shit to do for a bit tonight. But after that, then... It is done. |

I really want in on this but told myself I wouldn't buy games at launch, instead waiting for patches/sales/games with gold.
HOWEVER I'm loving the sound of this and on the basis I've read various reviews where it almost sounds like a re-imagining of DD1, maybe I could grab the remastered version of the old one in the meantine as never got round to playing it.../checks sales
Edit - amazing, it's on PlayStation Plus. But surprised it doesn't run at 60, thought that nay have been a side Benny of going old school

IT HAS ARRIVED. No fancy lenticular sleeve (boo!), but it's here, and that's the main thing.
Now to get it installed and updated, waste spend at least an hour in character creation, then dive in.
I'm officially excited.

I've seen the transactions labelled as pay 2 win and I had to put the phone away. When Capcom makes a game that's legit unbalanced without paying for the mtx then we can talk, but let's not try to cross the bridge before it's even built

The game is insane. I didn’t play the first so have no idea what is going on. The pawns are all completely off their rockers. The writing is absolutely hilarious and the combat is pure chaos.
I’ve created Lady Jessica from Dune as a thief but I made her ass too big, couldn’t help it.
Looks like a ps4 game and runs like shit but I can tell I’m going to enjoy this a lot.

Played a bit of the story and got to a battle by a blocked road, which was just pure chaos.
Flames everywhere and me running around the place as fast as my little legs can carry me. Excellent fun!
I can see the ladder talk getting a bit tiresome, but for some reason it's really cracking me up at the moment.

No, on a pretty decent 1440p monitor. TLoU 2 looked amazing on it for example. The lighting in this is so flat and some of the textures look awful (while some have plenty of detail). I'm sure it's a fun game but it's no looker imo.

They had to sacrifice the fidelity to get it running at 60fps. I mean a locked 30fps. I mean an uncapped framerate that dips into the 20s.
