Cheers. I figured as much, but I remember fast travel being a pain in the dick unless you'd remembered to put down one of those portcrystal things, so I wasn't 100% sure!
My pawn is called Buffy. (In my stupid head, she's my main character from Fallout 4 and Skyrim, making a cameo in a different RPG universe.)

I think by default, a ferrystone gives you the choices of cassardis, gran soren and whatever portcrystals you've got going on.
That's what made me think my character is in ng+, as there's no way with just the hydras head quest done that I'd have already visited and put a portcrystal down at blue moon tower.

That went well, as they used to say in the 80s!
I couldn't for the life of me figure out why fast travel was disabled, until the penny dropped at last - I had to do the Hydra quest (a.k.a. The Slowest Escort Mission in Gaming History) and get to Gran Soren that way. So I did...
... Only to realise that I couldn't forge the item I needed anyway, as I didn't have one in my inventory.
I ended up returning to Bitterblack Isle, whereupon I got severely spanked in The Pilgrim's Gauntlet; eventually I ran past everything to get the Void Key I needed, then peaced the hell out.
Onto the Tower of Treasons Repaid now, although I'm not feeling confident!
P.S. Quaddy, Vyrt is still level 35, just FYI.

Tower of treason in bbi? Can't really remember. Haha slowest escort mission  Dammit. What the fuck is up with my online save. I'll keep pissing about with it. Also, void key - what's that used for again? I noticed my ps save was just after picking it up, but i can't remember why |

I think Void Keys are just regular keys with a fancy name - they seem to unlock progression-gating doors in Dark Arisen, from what I can tell. This is the second one I've found so far.
Looking at the Wiki, it seems as though my armour *is* from the DLC, which I certainly didn't remember being the case. It's not bad, especially as I've dragonforged it, but I figured it might be a bit weak for Bitterblack Isle.

I just remember problems with the last 3. I don't think I've done them much tbh.
Meanwhile though, back here in ng1 just going through gransys and absolutely 1 shotting everything is doing wonders for my cathartic needs! It's glorious again!

Also, laughing out loud here at the witch's hut quest where you simply meet her, have a nice conversation and then end it. And then all your pawns completely smash the place up and nick everything not nailed down.
God I love this game.

I was doing fairly well on my first attempt, until I was insta-killed by one of their attacks.

See I don't recognise him. I'm not 100% sure I've finished bbi completely.
Also! I've just rested for the first time- and its updated vyrt from all his travels for god knows how long. Anyway, it might mean that if you try and summon him again, he might be level 51.

love/loved this game, but it took fecking ages to click, I could not understand the waypoint system with colours and was shite at map traversal, why can't I have golden breadcrumbs (fable, outriders style) in all my games  I still need to complete the dlc. Have we heard any updates on DD2 ? |

It's a pity we're not on the switch. On mine, if I go to the rift I can choose level 170 to 200 level pawns for free.
That's got to be someone on this forum too, as it's on friends list
But I'm hoping to get mine around at least 100 to start making a dent
