I think it’s nailed on to be a Neeson force ghost cameo that gives Obi Wan some sage advice and re-establishes his connection to the force.

The series has now created a situation where it needs to explain why Alec Guiness didnt just shit himself and run away, so he has to have some kind of damascene revalation at some point from the space jesus who kept ignoring him.

I wonder if it can resist some George Lucas-esque unnecessary over-explanation as to how he ages so much in the next ten years when suspension of disbelief would do?
And will they stick a digital zombie Alec into an epilogue?

Obvious innit? His hair goes all grey because he sees a force ghost.

It was a good show.
From a certain point of view.

It's not just me, Uncle Owen did punch Reva in the cunt, right? Her abdomen where she was bandaged up, it was like a boss fight having a flashing weak point that even Owen couldn't miss seeing.
As for the whole show I thought it was fine for the most part, I'm actually not really sure it ever needed making though. Quite what they're going to do for a second season without repeating themselves I don't know.

That was a decent episode but more than most suffered from any peril being undercut by almost every character involved being in the earlier films so nothing too terrible could happen

It turned out ok, if completely anticlimactic. The inquisition was wasted as, ultimately, was reva. And did we see the start of the rebel alliance or did I miss something?

Didn't get the 80's training montage I wanted but it basically went how I thought the arc would go (as if it could go any other way). But I loved it. Massive plot holes/armour for characters that don't make sense but you can say that about almost any franchise. 1. In Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan doesn't kill Anakin. The state he is in, the merciful thing would be to kill him and would have weakened the emperors position. In Kenobi, he has Vadar on his knees, knows his friend is dead and consumed by Vadar and doesn't kill him (surely too dangerous to be left alive).
2. Where did the Star Destroyer go?

I really liked the last two episodes and the rest was ok. I’d be ok with more if they can come up with something interesting. Ewan is very watchable in this and the sabre fights are so much better than the prequels and sequels when there’s some meaning to them and they’re not shit.
I still want them to do something unconnected. The whole series without knowing what happened to people already would have been a bit better.

I also really enjoyed the last two episodes, feel like there is a really decent 2.5 hour film in this.
As it is, a lot of fat that could be trimmed and needs a bit more care over a few scenes.
I echo above in regards to characters and how they played out. Was fucking cool to see vader and obi wan go at it though.

I quite enjoyed it. Totally unnecessary, completely carried by McGregor. Full of fan service nods to the previous events and at times it even made me feel like the kid who'd just seen Episode IV for the first time. Good to see Vaderkin finally getting his arse kicked , too.

I was going to say ‘I dunno, I think it’s a fairly lean six episodes’ but then I couldn’t really tell you what happened in any of them. He kind of just drifts about for a bit, occasionally thinking of or fighting his hetero life partner.

Did it turn out that Obi Wan actually spent his time building the Millenium falcon, and Uncle Owen was Han's dad?

2. Where did the Star Destroyer go? 2. After Vader broke off the pursuit of the Underground Mag Lev, he then left the Star Destroyer in his Tie Advanced to face off with Obi Wan. The crew realised that his ship is capable of hyperspace travel, and returned to chasing the Jedi sympathisers. They probably figured if he wanted to face Kenobi alone, they were following his orders. Or they writers forgot about it.

And, incredibly, it somehow makes Luke running off for space adventures even more jarring. It goes to great pains to show how much Owen and Beru love Luke and would do anything to protect him and he just YOLOs off to rescue the princess without so much as casting a backwards glance. Sucks to be them.

Obi wan giving him the T16 was interesting as that's basically what kick started lukes interest for spaceships and pew pew space battles

Sucks to be them. To be fair, Luke by New Hope was still mostly an impressionable kid being told very little about a subject he was interested in (his father, in this case) and being sent to do random bullshit and moisture farming on a dead end desert planet. No surprise that he'd jump at the chance to do something different and answer his questions with the magic laser sword man that saved him.

Not to mention Owen and Beru had already been charbroiled by the time he actually made the decision to leave, up until that point he wasn't sure what to do IIRC but after that he had nowhere else to go.

I know handwaving away luke looking like a psychopath is the second most popular part of Star Wars fannon but were one to just watch the actual 'products' Obi Wan makes this worse not better.
I mean, its no big deal, I just found it pretty funny. It kind of fits with Lukes characterisation in the sequel trilogy, weirdly enough.

Oh, Luke is a bit of an arse, not denying that. I'm just saying that between staying on the ass end of space with no one around and nothing to do (presumably, Obi-Wan would still take the droids with him) and actually doing something even if it's a crazy story, I can't really fault him for choosing to leave
