I really enjoyed it, but I like the prequels and Last Jedi. There are issues with the execution, if young Leis cannot runaway convingly, then edit it so it looks like she can etc. Some of the background effects looked poorer than they could have been. But for the most part an enjoyable start to the series. Nice to see the direction that they have took with some of the established characters, especially Leila Jnr. I almost expected her feistiness to have taken inspfrom Kenobi, so seeing it as trait already in her, was nice. Shame she cannot run for shite.

Hmm... very mixed reviews here, and I'm still struggling to work up any excitement to watch it, but if it's more about Young Leia than Obi & Luke hanging about on Tatooine then I might be interested.
Then again, I'm still stalled half way through Boba Fett.

Just watched the first two. I haven't seen any of the cartoon stuff, so the Inquisitors are new to me. Head Inquisitor bloke genuinely looked like he was going to start laughing a couple of times in Ep 1, and since I've found out who's playing one of his sidekicks, all I can think is "That's Han from Fast & Furious." Overall, I quite liked it, though I could have done without Princess Scrappy Doo. We get it - you're strong-willed, but that doesn't equate to 'suicidal idiot'. Hands up who reckons we'll get a cameo from the Falcon before the series is over? o/ Makes me think of the RedLetterMedia review of Revenge of the Sith where he says at least they didn't ruin Han Solo by having a young child Han running around in the background, saying hello to baby Luke and Leia. It's only a matter of time. |

I think pretty much everything in the trailers has now been shown in the first two episodes. I really enjoyed them both

I'd probably rather have them doing new stuff, rather than filling in too much backstory on known characters, as that always ends up being disappointing. If it turns out that jr Han bumped into jr Leia a long while before ANH I'm going to be very disappointed. |

The first episode was okay but the third sister actress is awful. At least we got away from Tatooine.

This is at least much better so far than Boba Fett.
The only way they could ruin it is by giving a limited actor terrible dialogue for a beloved character. Thankfully thatโs not going to-

I was going to ask which actor and character you were referring to, but then I realised there could be so many.... so I'm going with Jimmy Smits.
If Disney star wars has taught us anything, it's that they can manage decent tv show characters as long as they never take their helmet off.

Speaking of a Falcon cameo. What chance Ben is going to run in to Chewie at some point? I always got the impression that they knew each other before the cantina scene. I hope not but I wouldnโt put it past them.

Yeah, just checked, after watching the holo recording of the โyounglingsโ he sees a recording of Palpatine calling him Lord Vader.

I think ten years or so. IIRC he's meant to be about thirty in ANH, and she's meant to be about 18-20.

I've only just realised who played the Clone Wars veteran. He was actually just playing himself, out of work after the reception to Boba Fett. Heโd snuck onto set and they didnโt have the heart to cut the footage. |

I know he's been living in a cave for 10 years, but you would have thought that he would have heard around town that a 7 foot tall bad ass called Darth Vader was murdering all the Jedi? I mean he's not exactly subtle is he? Probably best not to think about it too much I suppose.  |
