Robin Trower 50th anniversary LPs of his first two albums I just received.
The Bridge of Sighs anniversary is a funny one - it sounds AMAZING, but they did away with all the fade outs, which to me is a curio that would have been better on a CD set for extra tracks. It also has some very different vocal lines if you are used to the previously released versions, because they took away all the punch in edits for these for some reason.
Still I think on the sly it may be the best record of its type from the 70s.

Kerry King - From Hell I Rise
I honestly think this is an excellent album - in fact, I'll go out on a limb and say that I think it's better than the last few Slayer releases.

Some odd black metal / gabba crossover. I listen to some right shit.
They're playing live near me and I'm tempted to go, their live shows look an absolute total cacophany of noise and strobe lights.

This is great, instrumental space rock. FFO: lovely analogue synths; cool riffs; and nifty drumming.

Retro time.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, I forgot how I got on to that one in the first place.
New album by Alien Airforce, the current vehicle of Crispin Gray, formerly of Daisy Chainsaw and Queenadreena.

Starting to get into Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree thanks to hearing about him/them on here. From what I've heard so far, the music is frequently brilliant, you can tell how great of a producer and sound engineer he is. I also like the varied styles and though he can be derivative of other artists it's usually well done and feels like it comes from a place of appreciation. His lyrics can be cringingly bad (like a cancer scare in a dentist's chair) but I'm not too bothered about that when the music sounds so good.
So far I've listened to The Harmony Codex (very good), To The Bone (mostly good), Deadwing (excellent), Hand Cannot Erase (hmm still forming my opinion on this one, sounds a bit like early Genesis which I'm not that into) and On The Sunday of Life (truly awful). So yeah mostly liking it. Which albums should I go to next?

The DoorsL.A. Woman, great album, "Been down so long" is wonderful and of course LA Woman is a top tier classic.

I've been playing Disintegration on repeat. Just one of those moods. Such a great album - and 1989 a stunning year for albums. I know it gets called out for having a weaker B-side but how could it compete with a perfect A-side?

Glued my Balls is alright, "It's time to take a shit on the company dime" is quite amusing as well. They're all good for a few chuckles, I wouldn't put them on my playlist though.

I’m a big apologist for The Offspring. I genuinely enjoyed their last album. That being said, their latest single is guff of the highest order.

I listen to it quite often. Not going to lie I bounced off their new song but I genuinely think it will grow on me. It’s a bit too Blink though.
