Ibiza Prom in the Park on Beeb 2 with a 50 piece orchestra. I was almost dogmatically against most dance music of this era at the time and it's weird how when I now hear it it's almost part of my DNA and I actually thoroughly enjoy it. This also happens with cheesy pop of the time albeit to a much lesser extent.
Anyway it's absolutely superb.

Low - Two-Step
Low - Dinosaur Act
I could've picked umpteen Low tracks to which to listen tonight, but these were the first two that came to mind.
RIP Mimi.

Honey Is Cool - Crazy Love
The debut album by this indie-rock band, fronted by Karin Dreijer (The Knife/Fever Ray).

Watching some Pink Floyd live thing. One of the better prog bands, but much of the music is still risible.
The show is pretty epic though, can see why potheads love this shit. But what's stopped me from switching channel is the stunning, scintilating guitar and bass tones.

I love Karen.
I've got no chance though, I think I've picked up on subtle hints that she's gay.

I've gotta admit, I'm not feeling the new song. 'What They Call Us' was way better.
I'll keep listening, though, and maybe it'll click.

Big fan of local musicians here in Manchester or any band working the clubs trying to make it. Currently enjoying the lastest single from the from Ist Ist. One for fans of Joy Division. 2 incredible albums down already, now warming for the 3rd. Dark, uncompromising and fantastic live m.youtube.com/watch?v=5iHGzYCGHTk

Bloody love a bit of Enter Shikari (particularly their first album and particularly this song) and used to quite like Pendulum as well. I need a proper release of this. It's immense.

Apparently Riot Act is 20 years old tomorrow. One of my favourite Pearl Jam albums, no real big hits but as a full length album its a beautiful piece of work.

Virus: A song from the first album. It's some kind of Avant-garde Rock/Metal thing.

Spiegel im SpiegelIt is so perfect. By Arvo Pärt, you mean?
I had to think of Michael Ende, who has written something by that title.

Boards of Canada - In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, I turn to this EP with the regularity of a bird flying south for winter.

Owls: I don't usually listen to Jazz, but stumbled across a review.
Bulbul: Don't know much about the rest of their work, but Album 6 is definitely a bit weird.
Took me a bit to catch on

Doing some virtual crate digging on bandcamp and came across this, it's pretty cool. Instrumental, progressive, fairly chilled, stoner rockish, post-rockish. Post-stoner rock maybe? s'good.

I presume everyone and their mums have seen the new Rammstein video by now but if not, why not.
This band consistently do the greatest music videos in existence. This is ridiculously good.
