Would probably give my left bollock to be there on the night this was recorded. An absolute masterclass!

I've seen worse, and that's quality vinyl, not a Sainsbury special. I guess I just feel like it's one of those "worth it" records

Big fan of the music scene, a few bands I follow (who I've posted about before) have some superb new tracks out. Slow Readers Club - I tell no lies A suprisingly upbeat track, compared against their focus on the darker emotions and themes. "Front man Aaron Starkie explains the meaning behind the lyrics to Tell No Lies - "The song is about music's ability to transport you somewhere else and take away your anxieties for three minutes or so. There's also an acknowledgement that when trying to offer answers or simple life slogans through lyrics you can sometimes feel like a snake oil salesman - 'it's honest work, dear reader, listen close, I'll tell no lies. A simple song can set you free.' It's that premise that brought the image of the faith healer to mind that I reference in the lyrics and we have also explored in the video" youtu.be/_85aKPqQhGYIst Ist - It stops where it starts Manchesters own Joy Divison, with a slightly more immediate and accessible track than their previous work. youtu.be/Ih85-eFVZi8If it floats anyones boat, both have tours soon and both are absolutely incredible live. Saw these Leeds on a mates suggestion and they were brilliant. They were touring with he album with plant the seed in it. But couldn't get into their albums as a whole as the are fairly dark and brooding.

I don't think I've heard anything of theirs after the Great Destroyer, which is a bit of an oversight.

Ones and Sixes was good but if youre catching up with them again, start with this. Its properly epic.

Having posted a link in the game soundtracks thread, I find myself listening to the "Greatest Videogame Game Music" this morning. The current track is Angry Birds: Main Theme.

Seems so. They are both still on vocal duties at least.

Tuned into Charlotte de Witte's live set (DJ mag alternative 100 thing) a little while ago and she was playing a blinding remix of age of love. It's getting a bit heavy now. youtu.be/f5ZF4TDlGUk
