I've enjoyed the new RHCP a lot. The LP sounds phenomenal too.
Too much autotune and possibly a hair long, but there's lots of good stuff on it IMO. Frush is such an inventive player.
Forgot that Meshuggah's new album was also out this Friday gone so having a listen to that now, although I can take this stuff a lot less easily than as a younger man, really have to be in a certain mood for the metal these days.

Heard Emma-Jean Thackray live at the 6music festival on the radio earlier and had her playing on Spotify ever since.
Great mix of jazz and chilled out dance music.

Was listening to Horsey on YouTube the other night (if you like more random music give them a go), one of the member's is the brother of King Krule and one of his songs played and it was a cover of a song I didn't know called Forever Dolphin Love. This is by a New Zealand artist called Connan Mockasin who I had not heard of before. His stuff is very experimental and can be a challenging listen, but there are some strange gems like the aforementioned Forever Dolphin Love which I have been listening to a lot the past few days.
I'll post the video as it is weirdly disturbing (like the song I guess) - anyway, I'm becoming a fan of this chap.

Only listened to RHCP's Black Summer so far. It sounds like he's doing a weird accent. Irish? Other than that, seems ok. But that's only the first track.
In the meantime (because of the 'in the pines' video on the last page)

All of the music from Peacemaker. Quite possibly one of the finest soundtracks ever compiled.

Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run album. I love 70/80's Boss, can take or leave from that point on.

Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run album. I love 70/80's Boss, can take or leave from that point on. I pretty much love everything up to The Ghost of Tom Joad (which I think is '95?). After that, it's not so great. Odd moments, but some of the spark went out for me. But those early records, when he was really raw. Man, could he write a song. NP: Skyzoo - All the Brilliant Things

Gruenewald: From the third album. It sounds quite different from the first two, not least since the spoken word/singing is completely gone.

Like. But they have the vibe of a bunch of people playing Rock Band and being slightly embarrassed about it.
