They bought what was gonna be True Crime Hong Kong and made it their own IP. But A) I think them making the developer change titles to create Sleeping Dogs means its not theirs B) them selling their Eidos studios to Embracer and most importantly C) them closing the studio before they completed Sleeping Dogs 2, let alone sold the IP to Embracer means True Crime is probably, hopefully, still with Activision.

That would be cool but I doubt they would. Quite a few IPs MS should look at bringing back.
Despite a lot of issues I still enjoyed the first game but never played the 2nd.

Yeah already out. Digital only Series X coming next year plus a new controller and a bunch of games in development including Dishonored 3,Ghostwire 2, Doom Year Zero plus a load more.

So I've been testing this cloud gaming out rather than installing stuff both for speed and ease. Every night over the past week I've been unable to use it straight away due to a queue time of 10-15 mins (lol not waiting) or at all because theyre no longer queing new slots up because too many are playing.
Turns out cloud gaming is being used a bit ... or they only have capacity for a few peeps

Yeah, it used to be good when you could get straight in a game. In its current state I might as well just install the game rather than waste my time trying it.
It'll hopefully die down a bit after the Starfield and Forza rush.

They don't necessarily need to buy them, though I would imagine they would love to, they just to secure the library for GP.

If they had several WiiU style bombs in a row then maybe but they laughed at the proposal 20 years ago and would laugh even harder now.

I have no knowledge at all of corporate politics in Japan, but I imagine there would be some kind of national pride at play with an acquisition by a foreign western mega corp.
Having said that money trumps all I guess. Nintendo seem to be doing well by themselves

I think any of the big tech companies would happily own Nintendo. I think it's supposed to be quite hard to acquire Japanese companies though so we are unlikely to ever see it.

I think it's more future watching blue sky aspirational 'what if' stuff but for a massive company they'd be mad not having a planned strategy. I was trying to load up Fallout76 just for shits n giggles on sons series s. Always skipped it but thought I'd give it a whirl as I was wanting to play some FO but d8dnt fancy another FO4 save on the go (have one on steam). Literally only been able to get into it either stupidly late or first thing in the morning before work. |

I tried using it for smaller stuff like cassette beasts and human fall flat to get rewards and still had 10 minute queues even before Starfield launched, so don't think it's purely based on the game. It has quiet times and busy times, but I'm guessing most times are busy lately.

Re: streaming, I did try to play Psychonauts 2 last night (about 11.30) just to get the rewards points, but it told me there'd be a five minute wait. First time it's happened to me that late at night, so maybe things are getting worse, or I've just been very lucky so far.
