It's going to drag into 2024.
Feels like it's been going on for about 5 years now. Shenmue IV might come out before this is done.

MS and Activision are happy with the move going off twitter.
Still see it being dragged into 2024.

I'm not going to go and look, but I bet that Florian Muller's twitter is a litany of absolute rubbish dressed up as legal reality and cope, all mashed up into a stream of reasoning about why this will still be absolutely fine.

Yeah I'm happy I blocked him. Have seen lots of comments saying this actually works in favour of MS.
Just crazy to think what else MS could have done with that money by now... could have possibly fixed Infinite.

These lean and lanky underdogs manoeuvring dexterously to overcome Sony, by spending 70% of Sony’s total value on Activision Blizzard.

So Bungie, who they own and are free to make games for Xbox and pc and do, won't have details of the next Xbox hardware nor a dev unit then? Right, sure.

There isn’t one for Series X either. Clearly Microsoft saw the top secret specs for their own console and decided to sabotage themselves, the cunning bastards.

It's really weird having a fully grown fanboy on the forum.
Thought they all lived in comments sections!

If both have studios making games for each other you would expect both to give rough specs. They will be roughly the same just like every other gen.
Not like either are going to do something revolutionary or out the box like a Wii or Switch.

Wasn't their some bullshit about an original Xbox game not being able to played on PC cause their wasn't a PC powerful enough to play it...despite it being developed on a PC?

I dunno? Halo? If it is Halo it's no surprise as that original PC release was inferior in every way. Gearbox really did a shit port.

I was thinking it was the other way around? Didn't they admit several years back that the original Halo 2 demo kept crashing the Xbox's so they had to run it on PC?

Sony are bound to be a bit more cagey. While both machines are roughly delivering the same tech, specs and results, Sony tend to have slightly more creative and proprietary systems for delivering it. There’s also stuff like the controller haptics and audio stuff they’re doing.
Realistically, it may not affect MS’s plan or delivery at all, but they won’t want to give any advantage. It works the same in reverse, of course, and while it’s not as crude as put above, MS tend to have more standard hardware and more robust software solutions.
Also, though, I wouldn’t expect either to be delivering launch software for the other, so it’s largely moot and simply a hypothetical situation that serves the argument made.

Could be, I think the demo was made super quick wasn't it? Yeah MS demanded a demo on pretty short notice and they had to follow a very strict path or the entire thing would crash.

I just had to ignore it because I got second hand cringe from reading it. Yet can’t stop commenting about it. I think comparing Bungie and their one game to Activision Blizzard is incredibly weak in context. Sony bought them for 3.6 billion, a far cry from underdog Micosoft’s 69 billion for Activision. And I’m completely serious about Xbox not really pursuing great secrecy because their hardware hasn’t been making a big deal on innovation. Nintendo obviously does, and Sony always keeps some cards up its sleeve (eg, surprise reveal of 8GB GDDR5 in the PS4, which I think Digital Foundry had posited would be impossible at the time, surprise reveal of PS5 using more advanced SSD than expected for instant loading in games like Rift Apart) but Microsoft’s strategy since Kinect 2 was a flop has been to simply try and make something decent and reliable. The Series X seems like really good hardware, but if anyone wants to list something really special it does that Microsoft would want to keep secret, be my guest. Their strategy is all about Game Pass. I’m going to continue to talk about this thing I’m interested in and there’ll continue to be flat earthers and MAGA cultists and people who think the richest software company on earth are the underdogs, and you’ll turn up your nose but continue to post and post and post about it anyway, thousands of times more than me. Really don’t know how you find the time.
