Ulythium, I've just eaten reheated left over curry with microwaved left over chips. It was as grotty as it sounds. I had some garlic bread in place of naan and that was by far the best bit. Swap you 🙂 You can keep the COVID though.
Oi! I don't have COVID - my penchant for social distancing stems from a mixture of anxiety, shyness, and general dumbassery...
... Although now I see it written out like that, I don't think it's a whole lot better than 'Rona!
Thanks for making me feel happier about my microwaveable pasta ready meal, side salad, and individual profiterole  Sorry I misread your post and thought you were isolating because of this bug thing. Kind of assume everything is this bug thingy. And yep, my tea sucked, but I've got a bottle fizzy orange and I'm watching the Witcher, so it's not all bad. I want a profiterole now. |

Made it to midnight! Managed to get through the extra special utter shite Japanese TV shows that they roll out for new year, which are somehow worse than the utter shite tv shows they put on every day. Even made it without resorting to drink! At least the soba and viennetta were good. Have a good new year everyone! May 2022 be a big improvement!
I'm off to bed.

It makes you take your clothes off, oil up and get busy with the next infected person. Very contagious, quite hard on society for a number of reasons, health service overwhelmed with rectocele problems. |

Every year it's the same problem. What do I serve with the beef tenderloin? I roast it on low heat in the oven, so I can't make roasted potatoes at the same time. Such a nightmare. This seems an easy fix. Do you reverse sear it? Slow roast it to a bit below your desired temp then take out and wrap (I can rest a roast for up to hour like this). Whack up oven to high and bung in par boiled potatoes, cut fairly small. Whack oven up to max (240+) after 35 min put tenderloin back in and get it nicely browned. Take potatoes out if burning. Take beef out, rest for 10 min probably. Can keep potatoes going if necessary. |

Yeah, there's no benefit to cooking that kind of cut low and slow. Sear it for 5 mins and whack it in with the rest.

Went over to my sister's with my dad, and my other sister and her family also joined us.
So if anyone had Covid were basically a multi household transmission site. Doing our part.
But aside from that it was surprisingly enjoyable, mainly because my sister's partner kept filling my whisky glass up. Had a takeaway and watched World's Strongest Man. There was also a slightly odd, but amusing conversation about the legality of Mein Kampf (my sister expressed an interest in reading it after watching some Hitler documentary on the History channel).
I've felt slightly awkward visiting my family this Christmas, turns out I just wasn't pissed enough to relax.

I had a similar experience over Xmas Eve. I woke up extremely depressed and anxious over visiting my parents, and having my sisters, uncle and cousins also go over. Had some beers and eventually had a good time.
I kind of hate that it's my crutch though.
