Happy New Year good and proper this time  Not feeling all that sleepy yet (and I'm a night owl in general, let alone on holidays) so catching up on some Pokemon Scarlet. For all the stupidity of GameFreak seemingly ignoring their own damn work on making a graphically stable open world game, it's some good fun! Also either Scarlet is more stable than Violet for whatever reason or I just got lucky with no major glitches or crashes thus far... Guess my strategy of ignoring everything else and just choosing the hotter professor paid off  |

Happy new year fuckos. Amazingly enough, made it to the chimes, kids desperately wanted to stay up to see them in. Wife wasn't into it, but we had a nice low key night, playing some games etc, before an impromptu visit from friends just after midnight for a quick drink.
2022 was a bit shit all round really and I suspect 2023 won't be much better but I can honestly say that this place makes everything that little bit more bearable. HNY!
Oh, and we watched Sam Ryder. He was far more entertaining than Jools

Definitely a year of us and downs personally, but can't complain too much really.

Well, despite, or rather because of, my crazy ear infection, I'm still wide awake.
Kids are still partying downstairs, though it all sounds far too sensible for my liking.
We've ploughed through 4 eps of Succession with a break for Jools at midnight.
Of course, via iPlayer the show was a minute late. Wonder what they'll do when normal digital transmissions are gone. I guess different streaming devices will mean we all see it at different times...
Any hoo, reckon there is still a bit of Pork Pie that might not last until breakfast.
