He's back on Russian talkpoints, just days after Tucker Carlson interviewed Putin. It's 2016 all over again.

Remember that when asked how he would tackle the Ukraine conflict Trump said he'd just paint the Chinese flag on US jets and drop nukes on Russia and when asked he would just point to China and say they did it?
The sad thing is, he will be the next President.

He'll nuke the world on his way out (just as Hitler would have done with that capability). His kids will be in bunkers and everyone else will deserve it.

No idea on how this orange deranged obese sub human is still alive on his junk food diet.
Sadly trump cultists will lap up his latest comments about Russia attacking Nato
edit - funny thing is, Trump never pays his bills!

Christ on a skateboard - that's deranged even by Trump's usual standards. He's said before that he wouldn't honour article 5 and floated the idea that the US would leave NATO entirely, so it's pretty on brand even if actively encouraging a hostile nation to attack US allies is a new twist on it.
This is why I'm still not feeling great about us (Sweden and Finland) joining NATO. Some of the countries in it just aren't reliable allies and their security interests often aren't aligned European ones. I still think the reasons for outweigh those against, and at the end of the day NATO is the thing that actually exists, so NATO it is. But I don't love it and I really don't like that our government is already busy making us more reliant and integrated with the US rather than focusing on cooperation and integration with our neighbours.
Europe just has to get used to the idea that the US won't be friendly if Trump wins again. There will likely be a much worse trade war than last time and NATO will be undermined. And even if he doesn't win the US will at best be a reliable ally for four years at a time for the forseeable future.

I actually think the policy aim is the same as before. If you dive down beyond the rhetoric, Trump's vision of NATO is to privatize it, or at least the US contribution of it. So the idea, is if say Poland felt threatened by Russia, they pay the Americans to station a few brigades there. The truth is that he is right, the EU nations have been massively freeriding on the back of US military expenditure for too long. The rhetoric is just signalling that the US (if he wins) isn't going to take it anymore and he is sending a message for the EU to shape up in terms of military expenditure. His language is jumped up in the most divisive and horrible way. Doesn't mean he's wrong.

Yeah, that seems to be how he thought it worked already when he started to rant about it last time. Like he genuinely didn't seem to understand that the spending goal is for what countries should spend on their own militaries, not some tithe that's paid to the US in a protection racket. He is wrong because what he wants is to run a grift, like with everything else he does.
The US has been "paid" plenty for their involvement already via their military industry, not to mention the soft and hard power their presence in Europe has given them. If it was really about some notion of fairness the US could have simply let Europe know they'd scale down their presence over X years and done so in an orderly manner. Like a friendly ally would.
And to add to the shittiness the US is the only country that's ever invoked article 5 and the rest of the alliance answered.

It's so nice to know that the future of our entire planet could come down to about 70 million or so Americans who may vote for a corrupt, mentally incompetent criminal in November.

It’s a damning indictment of the system that allows this to happen too. Legislative gridlock, two party polarisation, minority victory through the archaic and entirely unsuitable electoral college system, career oppositionists who want permanent problems to campaign on, rampant money laundering and bribery and a partisan judiciary who put party affiliation at the top of their priorities, and who cares about precedent and the horrific legal distortions needed to do so.
The US in its current form is never coming back from this geopolitically.

The US in its current form is never coming back from this geopolitically. Whilst it is still the issuer of the world hegemonic currency, the US is fine. There could be troubles on the horizon that will mitigate that, but there are no alternatives right now that offer both the universality of currency and protections of law. The law part is really important. The EU has it, but have a fake central bank, the UK has it, but is relatively small. China really doesn't have the rule of law when it comes to the currency, so the only thing the global financiers want to hold is dollars.

If he and Biden ever get the chance to have a live debate, whenever Trump interrupts or says some stupid shit, I want Biden to have a button to press that just plays a random clip of John Goodman saying "SHUT THE FUCK UP DONNY"

Trump got booed at sneaker-con trying to sell very tacky looking trainers that look like they are from dollar thrift store. For only $400, people can mock up you for your lack of taste and money sense.
Being one of those talentless hacks who sell crap on shopping channels is about right for him but who would have to do it from jail

I legitimately thought that was something X201 had knocked up in Photoshop as a piss-take. Truly hideous. Well, I guess it's true what they say - a MAGA nutjob and his money are soon parted.

I cant comprehend how trump has even a remote chance of winning, not to mention whats happening now with actual possibility of him winning A sneakercon? And selling his tacky shoes. That's what a presidential candidate is doing and people still support him? The cult of personality is just so messed up and alien to me.

They’re most likely a money laundering scheme. So is the Go Fund Me set up to pay his legal bills, although interestingly that one might not be by Trump.

They’re most likely a money laundering scheme. So is the Go Fund Me set up to pay his legal bills, although interestingly that one might not be by Trump. Apparently it was set up by Elena Cardone, "a wife" (her words in the description) of Grant Cardone, who's been the subject of lawsuits for misleading investors and also a Scientologist. Also the GoFundMe has raised around $210k in two days, which is maybe around enough to pay... for the daily interest on Trump's penalty for those two days. It also might be going against GoFundMe's ToS, but hey, it's Trump, what else is new
