I like the mentality that a president with the most slender majority who is trying to pass what he can is somehow a worse option than one who utterly failed to pass anything when he had a good majority on the senate it's pretty bizarre stuff. The whole way the system effectively mean Joe Manchin and Krystyn Synyma effectively get "final say" on whether Biden gets to do anything doesn't exactly scream functioning democracy. Especially as both are corrupt and venal as fuck. |

I don't know if this is the right place for said news, but I see CNN has suspended Chris Cuomo "indefinitely, pending further evaluation," following the revelation that he was more involved with advising his brother (Andrew Cuomo, erstwhile NY governor) than had previously been made public.
Do any US-based FontGeeks have opinions as to Cuomo Jr.'s likely fate - dismissal or reinstatement?

Meh, a lot of people talk tough when it comes to nuclear weapons, but actually using them is something else entirely.
For better or worse, only the President has the power to control the nuclear arsenal. And I don't think the current President has any desire to nuke Russia. Putin isn't stupid either, and using nuclear weapons would be very very very very stupid. It's not impossible, but it's not at all likely either.
There's plenty of other stuff to worry about without adding nuclear war to the list.

Just heard about this on the radio. It's sad for many reasons, one of them being that it was a big bet on NMT, and now we won't see how that would have played out.
On the other hand, the other part of NMT (the first one being the government doesn't need tax to pay for stuff, they can print their own money) is that unless you tax the rich yu'll get inflation.
