The trial will be good. 'Will the defendant please rise, and turn off Spongebob, and stop pinching his sister,'

Haha. Good luck. No jury in the world would convict a 6 year old.
Mmmm maybe Texas.

The only thing she gets wrong is the age of the suspect.

Guns are heavy and the kickback is harsh even on adults. So, for this 6 year old to successfully hold and fire a gun, with enough aim and experience to actually hit someone and wound them, then it is absolutely not the first, second, third or tenth time he's held a gun. Actually the US genome has developed so that gun use is instinctive. By 2100 it's thought that children will be born with a gun.

The thing that makes guns do fucking deadly is you don’t need any skill or training to fucking kill someone with one. A non moving target, close range, a hit is fairly certain That’s why fucking toddlers are killing people with guns. It’s why the ‘killers will always use another method of you ban guns’ is so fucking stupid’ ANY cunt can murder a half dozen people in seconds with a gun. A soldier trying to stab someone to death isn’t guaranteed victory against a civilian

He'll probably get Smith & Wesson sponsorship and a talk-show. It's the American dream.

The more I read about this, the more I ascertain that there's something very off with the child. No fucking shit, Jambo

A child, a young one at that, shooting a gun doesn't automatically mean the child has problems. Further information revealed by the police obviously proved there's more going on.

At that age it's all impressionable stuff. It makes me wonder what he's been brought up with more than anything.

It kind of puzzles me how anyone with half a brain could look at a document that has CLASSIFIED stamped all over, and just think "oh it'll be fine if I just take it to read at home, lock it in a closet somewhere".
Like, I'd understand if it was done on purpose. Hiding things would at least be an understandable reason. But doing it by mistake is the height of stupidity.

Even with the differences between the circumstances of him and Trump, the optics are absolutely terrible, doubly so that they sat on it before the midterms. After a terrible first year but an astonishingly good second year, his third year is shaping up to be awful, even without the House bollocks.

The thing they aren’t mentioning so far is that the US government slaps “Classified” on every fucking thing, because it’s easier than having teams of people determining if stuff needs to be classified or not.
They may get into whether any of the Biden stuff was marked any level of Top Secret, like the stuff Trump had.
I suspect this is going to be like Biden being caught with the faint whiff of spliff on him, while Trump was caught coming out of his crack factory with a condom full of heroin up his ass.

I bet all the US politicians are checking their offices and trying to sneak back all the classified documents that they've taken home.

Fisher Price clearly missing out on the possibility of toddler gun sales.

May be worth highlighting that the new wave of Cops-esque shows like Live PD and this one (which is basically the same show after it got cancelled post-George Floyd) are heavily edited (it’s not actually live), partially scripted (most cop beats are too mundane), and wildly corrupt (eg forcing people to sign broadcast waivers in exchange for police leniency, something the newer ones tried, and failed, to skirt around by claiming they were live news reporting, and also not airing and destroying any footage that doesn’t make the police look good). A crisp note says some dickhead producer figured they could tie in to the recent headlines to boost ratings and interactions.

Fair point.
When we stayed at a mates' house, they were quite enthused about this "Live PD Special" that was on one night. We watched about an hour of it and literally nothing happened except this unbelievably excited presenter bouncing around the control room shouting his head off about something happening soon. We only watched an hour, but our friends recorded the rest.
Nothing else happened, they said. I think there was one traffic stop where the guy got a ticket, but he was white, so he was allowed to go about his way.
Perhaps that part of Oklahoma is just really boring,

There’s all sorts of fun horror stories about it. Like someone who had an arrest warrant for something, in the grand scheme of things, relatively benign, but on camera, and with faces unblurred and name captioned onscreen, told they’re being arrested for dealing crack. Or having hostage/standoff situations happening, and not taking any action before the TV crew got there then sending in SWAT and a Bearcat, even though easy de-escalation situations arose repeatedly.

It really is still the wild west over there isn't it. Except there's loads of fucking laws now that ultimately mean people with money get to dick over people with no money.

One could argue the "wild west" never really went away. Let's look at the wild west tropes
- police outnumbered by criminals - everyone having access to a gun - people having to fend for themselves
...yep, sounds right
