Maybe this is being too wishful, but with this wholesale rejection of Trumpism and the Big Lie crap, it might make more of the sensible but cowardly GOP accept that perhaps cooperation is in their best interests for 2024 rather than stalemating. There’s enough stories of people who hated what Trump was doing but couldn’t speak up because it would end their political career with the backlash that should he fuck off, things might go back to a relatively benign loggerheads. Even though DeSantis’s victory speech was all anti woke culture wars stuff, the nationwide results have absolutely proven that taking that line of rhetoric nationwide is a guaranteed loss, and by 2024 the age lines will have shifted even more and Gen Z will have way more political power.

This is all very strange, because in her case I had read that her constituents were unhappy that she was focusing on her celebrity as opposed to actually, you know, doing her job. But I guess it's a bit like Walker, as long as there's a big R next to the name, then everything else is just white noise.
