I think Trump wants to one-up Boris Johnson. “You told a lie that split Europe? I’m gonna tell a lie that’ll crack the WORLD in half.”
All the Republicans who stood up for the Biden win, state by state, are being removed from their jobs and replaced by people who will say the GOP candidate won no matter what. If Trump doesn’t die before 2024 he’ll run, and whether he wins or loses, the state governments he’s captured will say he won, and there’s a high probability that two candidates will turn up on Inauguration Day and the country collapse into some degree of civil war.
With America unable to function, all the wads of cash they’ve used to prop up the world’s wobbly table legs will vanish and things will get really messy. The UK is at its weakest point in history thanks to The Johnson Lie, so I’d be expecting a final a devastating revenge attack from Russia, China, or The French.

Given how tight the last election was, and how uneven the political split on people that die from covid is, I think the democrats have a fair chance.

Even if 3/4s of those who died voted Republican, that’s only about 525k people. If those deaths were confined to three or four swing states it would make a difference
That’s not the case.
It won’t make an appreciable difference in raw voting

Trump won the 2016 election by about 80,000 votes across three districts. If enough of the right people died, or were too ill to make it through the US’s voting hurdles, you never know.

They'll almost definitely still vote for him, though. And if the Dems don't get their shit together, him and his insane cult of personality could still win.

I think, if you look closely, you'll find that everytime basketball players jump up for the ball they often have very quick shags at the same time.

It’s never ending.
I was listening to the Adam Buxton podcast with author Colson Whitehead the other day. One thing he said in reference to things like this was “they’re just not dying out at the rate that we need them to.” And he’s right.
When I saw Idiocracy I thought it was just an OKish film… but it turned out to be a fucking prophecy. I’m sorry Mike Judge, we should have listened. WE SHOULD HAVE LISTENED!!!

Yeah, although pushing the message that it's essentially pointless to vote because EVERYTHING IS RIGGED hasn't exactly worked wonders in the republican's favour thus far - see: the California recall and Georgia runoffs. If Trump is victorious it'll be because of the voter suppression laws being passed up and down the country, particularly the ones giving partisan state legislatures the power to overturn results if "their guy" doesn't win. And all this is going on because centrist democrats are shrugging their shoulders and letting it happen instead of passing desperately needed voting rights bills through congress.

Fine people on both sides: Incidentally, what is an 'opposing' view to the Holocaust? To deny its very existence? Or to suggest that it wasn't actually a bad thing? Or, is this all just a rather niche reference to Max Von Sydow's character in Hannah and Her Sisters.

So everyone was dunking on a Dem Senator getting a bit confused over the term finsta a few weeks ago, but if you really want to see ridiculously hilarious levels of understanding of tech, please check out this thread. Replies had me in bits laughing.

"Through a multi-step process..."
1. Download source code 2. Read SSNs
It's almost as confoundingly stupid as Greene's tweet. The whole story smacks of a special kind of technological illiteracy. How any of these people got placed in positions of authority, I will never know.

MTG’s tweet is even more pathetic. And revealing
A candidate for Congress tweeted pretty much the same thing a few days ago. Got lots of attention for the stupid
MTG must be struggling to keep creating new stupid to get the spotlight swung her way so she can bask - and fundraise - in it.

Really hoping that fucker Steve Bannon gets jail time for this, it'll send a message to Trump's other would-be insurrectionists who also think they can just ignore subpoenas.

Trump starts social media network called TRUTH:
* Hacked before it's even out with people posting gifs of pigs shitting over themselves from Trump's profile * Press release contains fake quotes and messages from various companies, none of which were involved or asked permissions * Turns out to be all a grift capitalizing on meme stock and shell accounts
