I would like to know who these 'dangerous people' are because as far as I can tell before these people become dangerous they're classed as law abiding citizens who just want to exercise they're 2nd amendment rights to protect themselves and their families from the King of England. I feel like someone should mention that we haven't had a king in like, 70 odd years... |

So there was some early speculation that the public Jan 6th hearings would try to focus on the riot in itself and not stage itself as a direct attack on Trump. Holy shit were they wrong, this is a full throated assault on him.
Shame it’ll probably amount to fuck all though.

I almost admire their hubris, thinking that they'll be able to fly solo and make a go of it - from what I've seen of Texas (again, excluding Austin), it'd turn into the drunken, inbred Hunger Games within a month of secession.

I think last time I looked into it, there’s a clause that if Texas does secede then Mexico gets to take back a big chunk of it due to clauses in the readmittance acts. It’s also been affirmed several times by the Supreme Court that states don’t inherently have a right to secede anyway.
It’s not a Brexit scenario where it’s legally straightforward to happen.

I'm watching the Jon Stewart Mark Twain awardx, and people are telling him to run for president.
But.
People have been telling The Rock to run for a few years too.
So.
I feel like, if this dumb assed celebrity election were to happen, Jon would be a much better, much more prepared choice for office
but
Dwayne would win from just being a more neutral candidate
But probably we shouldn't elect celebrities?
