Maybe it's a subtle hint that if she gets to be VP, and Trump gets a bit out of control, she'll take him out back and do what needs to be done.

And she'll have immunity too, it'll be a presidential act just like inciting an insurrection! /s
Biden should just walk into the Supreme Court during deliberations, holding an AK-47 (to hammer in the point) and wearing aviators like "Oh, please don't mind me, I'm simply here for some... restructuring should the President be granted full immunity". Let's see how quickly the backpedaling begins when it's finally their ass on the line for once...

Worth pointing out that Trump is one of only three US presidents thus far not to own any pets while in the White House what about that rat creature he wears on his head?

US University protests seem to be escalating big-time.
it feels weirdly like we've gone back in time 40-60 years.

I was reading a profile of one their leaders, who was literally saying "death to Zionists!" and shit like that. He's been expelled from the university, which imo was the right call.
But also, it feels a bit perverse to me how much attention a bunch of protesting kids is getting. They're like 20 years old! They say dumb shit all the time, their brains aren't fully developed yet!

It's kind of a repeat of the 60s student protests again. The politicians on both sides are piling the pressure on the heads of the universities, who are responding by calling in riot police, which seems like overkill to me in 95% of the situations. Which then enflames things and makes things worse. Which then leads to the politicians scoring points by criticising the heads of the universities, etc..
Seems like the best thing in most cases would have been to let them carry on protesting and just make sure security was in place to make sure nothing extreme happened.

I'm sure this 378th warning will do the trick.

To repurpose a Robin Williams gag "stop! Or I'll say stop again!"

No wonder Trump thinks he can keep getting away with it, 'cause it has been repeatedly demonstrated that he can.
Just lock the orange-skinned dipshit up. You don't even have to lose the key - although that would be nice - in order to make your point.

I'm sure this 378th warning will do the trick. Tbf Merchan has repeatedly shown that he's not exactly very welcoming of Trump's shit (metaphorical and/or literal) and (to my knowledge) this is the first time he's actually, explicitly, threatened jail time for gag order violations. It's basically "Cover your ass" to the extreme degree, him making absolutely fucking sure there is no angle for an appeals court to argue unjust or biased punishment, or "Well Mr. Trump wasn't spoonfed the potential punishment unlike his hamberders so how could he have known" or any other BS to get him out of it (not that they won't try, but that's exactly why Merchan is going that far...) Now if the violations continue and Merchan still sticks to nothing but drop-in-the-ocean fines (all he can do besides incarceration, under NY law, unfortunately...) and super- duper-final-this-time warnings, we will have (yet) a(nother) problem

I'd like to believe that literally going to jail would lessen his chances of winning in November. But I don't think that's the case.

I'd like to believe that literally going to jail would lessen his chances of winning in November. But I don't think that's the case. It would definitely rally his avid fans, he'd almost assuredly spin even the shortest of stints behind bars as martyrdom and the worst torture in the history of tortures, maybe ever... The question is if there's anyone that hasn't drunk the Kool-Aid that might be swayed

In the rows behind Trump, his attorney Alina Habba is sitting with her arms crossed, Eric Trump is looking at the wall, and Trump aide. Boris Epshteyn is on his phone.

This is getting rather uncomfortable to read tbh
Even with the encounter (presumably) being consensual, the undertones are rather icky...

Remember when the US was up in arms about Clinton getting a flute solo that one time? How far we've come fallen...
I think I'll stop reading this now, for my lunch's sake if nothing else

I'm slightly fascinated by this roided up bodyguard patrolling outside the courtroom, who can't stand still and is walking around in circles like he's shat himself.
Aww, he's switched shifts...

Even with the encounter (presumably) being consensual, the undertones are rather icky... Unless I misremember she described it as a "just let it happen"-type situation when this first came out. Not exactly non-consensual, but definitely icky. Also something about a mushroom penis, but I'm trying to wipe that from my mind.

Given everyone wanting to avoid unwanted mental images, I won’t say anything that could leave you with the mental image of Trump’s buttocks wobbling as she spanks him with a rolled up magazine.
