Is the Rugby game VR too? I would love to see someone play that.

Ha, no it isn't. That would definitely require a wireless headset!

Didn't know where to post this but I've learnt some new things. Guess they push out features but don't advertise them and I don't spend too much time in the settings screens of steam to discover them

Life is Strange (Season 1) (original version) is reduced to 3.19 (gbp) for the first time in over 2 years as part of the Don't Nod 15th anniversary sale. store.steampowered.com/sub/56692/FYI: There is also a remastered version that came out about 2 years ago, with 'better' graphics, but everyone says the original is better. The original was regularly discounted to this price before that, but after the remastered version came out it the original was basically *never* discounted again. Until now. So if you want to grab the original then now might be the best (and maybe only) chance to get it at a low price. The first episode of almost all their games are free if you want to try it first. PS/ This is annoying for me as I finally caved and got it for 17 quid last month, but haven't even installed it yet. Sigh. PPS/ Maybe worth checking if there are decent savings on any of their other games. (Plus the whole of Tell Me Why is free to claim this month iirc)
PPPS/ Well, actually I got someone else to buy it for me as a present for 17 quid, but it's still annoying.

Vampyre is worth checking out. It isn't perfect, but has some interesting ideas. It's one of those games where it feels like a sequel could be fantastic, but you know it probably sold hardly anything so will never get one.
The trailer for Banishers last night looked kind of similar, so hope they are taking some of the ideas from Vampyre and expanding upon them.

Remember Me is still my favorite game from them. The new one reminds me a bit of it. Nice to see Dontnod try action again.

Feels like it's barely changed visually since the HL2 days until now, but I bet it's just been a very gradual shift if I actually bothered looking up a pic of the old UI.
I'm liking the new updates.

What has changed? They've just tweaked the store to make it look a little less dated, right?
Library, etc.. doesn't seem to have changed at all.
[edit] oh, it updated a second time and now the menus are all flat-design.
It's like one of those remasters that makes the game like you remember the game being like.

They added a bunch of functionality like on-screen notes to the overlay as well.

Ah, so it's all stuff that I never use, like the overlay and notifications. That kinda explains my lack of surprise.

I like how slowly Steam has evolved over the years. Very much a case of if it ain't broke.
That screenshot above evokes a lot of nostalgia, but the basic layout is extremely similar.
Can't stand it when menus are altered for the sake of change. The last time I played a PES game with a friend a few y years back, it genuinely took us 5+ minutes figuring out how to start an online coop game. Buried in some maze of obscurely named submenus.

God knows where "Activate a product on Steam" is now. Always the last place I look.

Having now watched the video, that's actually quite an overhaul. The Steam menu has always been pretty crap. The notepad is a lovely feature. Hope it's smooth.
The Steam mobile app was an abomination until about a year ago, so any improvements there also welcome.

Can you finally disable the age verification every time you look up an M-rated game?

I think it has remembered the DOB you enter for a while now.

It remembers it, but it makes you verify every time. So what’s the point of remembering it if you still need to click through?

Hmmm. I don't think it has asked me for ages. Maybe I'm special. Maybe I look old.

Maybe it’s a US thing. it’s annoying either way.

No download progress bar anymore behind the Windows taskbar icon. Why

The pop up menu from the system tray is something.

Yeah but that's worse than it just being there in your eye's angle without clicking on/hovering over something. Also a nice reminder that your download is paused when it's yellow.
It's not hugely important but it was a nice QoL feature that seems an odd thing to remove.

The new update looks nice but now Steam eats 700MB of memory by itself, which is just annoying for my 8GB laptop.

Maybe it’s a US thing. it’s annoying either way. Asks me quite regularly too (in the UK). Everyone else just looks at baby games for babies. I like the idea of being able to do notes in the overlay. Always wished games let you pin proper notes to the map screen rather than the limited pins they normally give you. This should be a good alternative.

Picked up OverShoot Battle Race for a whopping £1.40 - it's pretty much a Rock 'n' Roll Racing homage. Seems OK so far but I've spent the first few races banging into corners, trying to get used to the cornering.
Anyone here played Dragon Ball FighterZ? Wondered if it was much fun or not.

It’s very fun. 3 person tag team like MvC2, but with the over the top anime-ness of Guilty Gear.
Get it.
