I should clean up my wishlist, but it's more a place to plonk down something that looked interesting in the moment and that I don't want to deal with immediately. And honestly, what I'm actually interested in sometimes changes unpredictably.
Aside from the fact that at this point it would take some hours to clean it up properly.

I only had 10 or 12 items on my wishlist at the start of the year, but exploring new genres (card battlers, hex and counter) has bumped that up to 80 or so as I put all the best of each genre on there. At the same time I've gradually lost interest in survival, builders and rpgs, so those have been coming off. It took the December Humble Bundle to finally make me realise I don't want to play rpgs any more - both Greedfall and Wasteland 3 came off - but I might circle back in later years.

At this point, half my wishlist is games listed as "Coming Soon" that I've added after seeing trailers, to remind me that they exist.

If I were to cut it down to games I'm actually a bit hyped for (at the moment at least) only a few would survive I think.
At the moment it's 1100 or so. Just metastasized over the years.

There used to be a 'post your steam sale haul' type thread back on RPS, which I mostly ignored because I never really bought much. But this year I've gone a bit crazy so I thought I'd post it anyway. Ta dah! Deus Ex Thief 2 Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith Dishonored. ( <--- wanted something trendy and modern! ) For a grand total of about 3-4 quid, though I did buy a couple on Gamebillet to save a few pennies. Wouldn't want to be too spendy! And Dishonored is free on Epic! *grumpy face*

I didn’t think I got a huge amount but looking at the totals I’ve somehow managed to spend about $500. Yikes.

As mentioned in another thread, I picked up a bunch of games that appeared in the RPS advent calendar, as I decided to try to play all of them. Grabbed Who's Lila?, Strange Horticulture, Neon White, Betrayal at Club Low, Cult of the Lamb and The Case of The Golden Idol. Came to about £65. Still need to get Warhammer Chaos Gate Daemonhunters and The Quarry, but those are still quite expensive, so likely will hold off on those.
I own Persona 5 on PlayStation (and could play it through Game Pass), but tempted to get it on Steam to play on my Deck. Still, quite expensive though. Might pick up Persona 4 before the end of the sale.

I've played a bit of it. Gameplay-wise I really like it. A game all about movement and momentum. Levels are snappy (mostly under a minute), so very much a time attack type of game. The abilities you get are pretty satisfying and it feels good to control. Not sure how much room for experimenting there is though, as it feels as if there is a right way to do the levels. Feels more like a puzzle game in some regards, which is fine by me, but might limit replaying levels.
The style is cool, if you don't mind animé. It is creepy about its female characters though. It does make the story bits occasionally grating. Which is a shame, as it looks really good.

And here's me umming and ahhing over whether I should splurge on disco elysium... Lol was about to post the same about the 10e I spent on disco after 4-5 days consideration(so far, VERY worth it). Even with that it was a Mastercard gift card from work so not real money

I think I've abandoned Neon White myself. I like speed running games, but the art style in this and generally creepy story put me off. It's a bit slow to start as well I'd say and not sure I can be arsed to pursue. Shame.

How the fuck did Hitman 3 get best VR game, it’s one of the worst VR implementations of a regular title there is.

I'm finally finished with cleaning up that Steam-wishlist. It's still pretty bloated, but down to about 480 from 1100 is definitely an improvement.

I'm tempted to grab World of Horror, so hopefully it will be on a decent sale.

What's the verdict on Street Fighter 5 these days? Is it overly technical or relatively friendly for button-mashing casuals?
Err, asking for a noob friend, of course :/
