Destiny 2

Yeah never thought I'd see a 70 roll at Xur. I've only seen one other 70 Exotic drop ever.  Took it in to a strike, been a while since I've used arc on my warlock and I'd forgotten how much fun tickle-fingers with Crown of Tempest is and how long you can keep the super going. Looking forward to Arc 3.0. 

Interesting to hear that others have mostly drifted away this season. Same for me. My clan is at an all time low on log-in numbers also so it's a widespread feeling it seems. 
On hours and season pass rank this is my least played season since seasons have been a thing. Got the season pass track done, did the new dungeon a few times, got the Reaper triumph seal and decided it's time for a break from the Destiny grind. I liked the season narrative and the Leviathan patrol zone as an idea but otherwise I wasn't feeling it. Couldn't be arsed with gilding Conqueror again this season, didn't even get up to pinnacle cap. 

Goddamnit, I have the entire evening for myself, and now there's an unplanned downtime of 3 hours.

Yay, Fortnite and Fall Guys cross-over events

They feel like pretty crap activities so far, and there's far too much flitting between stuff to gather the necessary currencies. I normally go for titles, but the amount you'd need to play to get 5 red border drops of each (out of 6 weapons) to extract the pattern just isn't going to work for me unless they've significantly boosted the droprate from focussing, or allowed you more than one guaranteed red border a week.

I know I say this every time, but I might even sit this season out.

Yeah, the description seems to me like you need to, once again, juggle between different activities to get the currencies you need. And I bet the item caps are going to be horrible. Don't think I'll bother with this season after all. Like I said though, I might just download the EGS game to get the rocket launcher. And play the dungeon once. Maybe we could run it someday, if you guys don't mind carrying a Leeroy Jenkins like me?

Pretty hype for the world first run though. I guess I won't be making any plans for Friday night, it will be all streams.

Let's see if maybe we can get a run organised for the weekend.

Unless you people here are all going for the raid challenge, in which case I'd rather let you sleep after it. You'll probably need it.

Uhm... I feel like minimum framerates have been improved somewhat? Areas like Trostland or the Throne World, where I'd get hard drops to 50fps, are now dropping less often. And when it happens, it still sticks closer to 60fps than before. This is nice.

I also noticed yesterday during Ketchcrash that performance seemed much better than I was expecting from a 6 players activity with NPCs too. I'll have to test a Nightmare Containment too.

Only visual difference to me is that textures seem slower to stream in now.

Each expansion is usually an ok jumping in point because the slate gets cleared of seasonal content from the prior year so there's a bit less overload.

I'd recommend doing the witch queen campaign while it's free though

Up until reset on Tuesday. All of the campaigns were made free to play for a week.

The Beyond Light campaign is not too bad either, and the story of the current season is basically the sequel to that campaign.

But the Witch Queen campaign is very good, so if you don't have time for both, just do the latter (although some of the campaigns are on offer right now IIRC).
