Not suprised. At least it holds value if you wish to trade it in etc. But yeah I'll prob go digital and if there is one series I could justify that kind of price on it would be that.
Wonder if they will do something with the vouchers online. Or I'll save up my coins.

Switch 2 to accompany the Zelda trailer perhaps? Has been speculation for a while that a Switch 2 could release with Zelda. I'm sceptical, but it feels like his is the last opportunity for an announcement if it really is going to happen. I'm still of the opinion the Winter 2023 is the earliest we should expect a release date being, but 2024 feels more likely. Whatever happens, I hope they make sure ToK has a Switch 2 update (fingers crossed it is free of charge).

Come to think of it, they revived Mario Strikers last year... What if they drop a new F-Zero this year?
It was already crazy on the GameCube of all consoles, I can't even imagine how good a Switch version could be if they did it justice... Come on Nintendo, you know you wanna...

On the price of Zelda, might be worth getting pre-order in now before UK stores follow suit. Amazon have a pre-order guarantee, although no discount on the assumed £59.99 RRP. Cheapest I see is Hit, formerly Base.com, at £48.85. Not familiar with them though and certainly don't know how they would handle an increase in the RRP.
Don't normally advocate pre-orders, but normally feel fairly comfortable with them when it comes to Nintendo.

Actually, a new F-Zero would get me almost as excited as a new Metroid Prime. Almost.

If they increase the price I'll just cancel it. You don't get charged till they ship.

Great shout, have done the same for the boy. He must have put over 300 hours into BotW.

Yeah, got my preorder in a few weeks ago. Easy to cancel if it comes up cheaper anywhere else.
Feels like a bit of a stretch as I haven't paid over £40 for a new Switch game in ages, but fuck it, it's Zelda...

Turns out I even had a base.com account, so must have ordered something from the old site at some point.

Yeah I've done the same. Tbh it's pretty much the only game I'd stomach that £10 increase for anyway.
Even though the likes of DF have dismissed the idea, this does heavily imply that an upgraded Switch model is launching alongside it.

Actually, I'm waiting to see if they release a collector's edition for Zelda; not that I'll get a chance to beat the scalpers, but it's the principle of the thing...
/part of the problem...

£44 from Shopto with the vouchers they regularly give out. Bargain.
Their website is still an abomination but worth the faff.

Reckon oled will see us through till 2024. This price increase is just them being cheeky

If a Pro model launches, I don't know if I would get it. I'd rather a whole new console.

Imagine if they release a Switch 2 or whatever, but don't have an OLED option. Would be a bloody difficult decision then!

Just purchased my second ever switch game (for me). Pre ordered the new Zelda after you lot talking about price increases. £49 from shop to. Obviously it is going to be amazing so I'm happy to front that plus I'll likely get that nearly all back when I sell it.

I still haven't touched the DLC from Breath of the Wild (outside of Master Mode). Pretty sure its too late now. I don't want burnout before the sequel.

Not the radical departure I imagined with that new camera angle. Its not that low down. I hope it controls well. I miss the wii remote controls.
