Looks good 👍 Had a quick 45 minutes to try out the fuel/ tyres. Initial impressions are hards will last full race - just/ maybe... Fuel will last just over 7 laps on mix 1 and around 12 laps on mix 4 so no stopping should be possible with a bit of extra fuel saving. Yet to try mediums but softs were done in 3ish laps on mix 1. Working nights rest of week so will have another go at weekend but first impressions are good 😃
No worries, we had a couple of races amongst the three of us then joined a rather decent lobby, which was full to start with, racing Gr.3 at Barcelona. It turned out to be rather fun, pity about some of the driving though!
Certainly be up for more "invading" other people's lobbies or opening ours up to randos with car limitations. Other than a couple of iffy drivers it was a fun experience. I'm still not a huge fan of Barcelona though, I need more practice.
And I really need to get better at tire and fuel management!
I thought you was onto a winner at the start until you said you were on softs! Think you'd have made the podium, at least, with hards.
Whizzo - good idea to open lobby to public next time. Made it an interesting race for sure.
Not having any mediums didn't help, neither did my ability to forget to count the final lap when working out how to save my fuel and having to make an extra stop!
We let the public in a few times before (accidentally) and it was a bit of a mess, but mainly because we never have BOP or limitations on. Certainly more fun racing with a packed grid than just 3 of us though if you get the right people in.
Just a shame you have to exit out to change race settings if you find a good bunch though, if only there was a way they could make that better
Thought I'd have a look in the used car dealership and spotted the Suzuki Swift Sport '07 for 12K, bought one and took it for an arcade race at Brands Hatch. Really fun drive at stock, would recommend it for Tuesday night racing. New I think it's only 16K anyway but may as well get it used.
No idea about the real car but the virtual one is certainly nice to drive, tempted to buy another one and just pimp it to an extreme level and leave one at stock. It's not like the cost is wallet breaking.
This is what happened to me in that public race Nitrous, watch the radar at the end, he was a complete prick. I thought I was in my Supra with a similar livery but that's a different group car, I'm in my red Pacman car so it wasn't mistaken identity and him getting revenge for what happened at the previous corner with the American. Very poor driving, shame the server collapsed at the end so no grabbing the replay.
