Anyway, back to the game, did I have to buy a truck to play menu 22 (or thereabouts) or did I miss something somewhere? I just took the path of least resistance. Yeah buying at that point seems to be the only option unless you get one on a spin. Fortunately they're not that pricey. |

Yeah think so. Seems pointless as I think you can just take all the upgrades off in the tuning. you can't take off things like things engine polishing or reboring. Yeah thought it might have been something like that. Not sure why you would want to downgrade it to that extend though. Especially for a ridiculous amount of credits. |

You're definitely in the worst bit. There's some shit missions around there. Picks up again pretty quickly though. I'm on the Nissan Skyline one now and it's great trying to beat the newer Skylines with a turbo charged old one. That whistle.

Don't get the hate for ovals, the pickup race at Daytona was bloody tense for me as a pack of about 6 cars were slipstreaming so close I won by less than half a second.
Special Stage X is terrible though, like something I'd have made in a track creator when I was a kid because I couldn't be arsed to put any effort in. I've no idea why it keeps coming back as anything other than for testing a car's top speed.

Woo, got full lap gold on that first circuit experience on Dragon Trail. That was fun - more fun than racing the AI so far I'd say. Though the Peugeot they give you is way better than anything in my garage so far.

I'm not going to moan (those who have raced with me have suffered enough) about the UX of the MP setup process (and complete and utter lack of ability to change anything without setting it all up again) but it could really do with a way to compare the single player leaderboards.
I've always enjoyed picking a friends time and trying to beat it, but I am buggered if I am going into every sub screen to see the rankings - be they licenses, missions or circuit experiences. Just give me a side scrollable collection of tables with the positions/times on them. You could do ALL the circuit experiences as individual tables side by side, then let when I see one I want to challenge, let me click it and take me straight to it. Same for the licenses or missions.
They might need to be scrolling screens, but they aren't shy of having screens full of info, the tuning being an example.
And please, after a MP race please show a table with laptime breakdowns.

Meanwhile try the Nordschleife circuit experience. I'm around 10 seconds slower than the gold time requirement. Even a silver seems a bit of a stretch at this point.

So I finally finished the last menu and the roulette ticket is the only one I've had where each prize was a winner to some degree. Had 2 cars, 2 parts and 500K credits which is what I got.
Need to finish the licence tests but I suppose the credit grind begins in earnest now.
Had a trophy pop - Going The Distance Together:The Atlantic for driving online with others for 3610 miles. Strange this because I've only been online once and that was with you lot.
