It is a bit like they’ve not heard of UX at Polyphony. I’ve passed a licence test… why isn’t there a button to go straight to the next one? Instead I have to exit and do it myself. Gah. Good game though, I like how weighty the cars are although it doesn’t like it if you immediately try to catch a slide - at least with a controller it seems happier if you leave it a bit before getting opposite lock on. And is it me or are there no skidmarks? And is there a way to let you pan the camera using the outside view? Sorry… not had a GT game since 2! I’d avoid using the chase cam. It’s not a good fit for simulation games. Try the bumper cam for a bit and I bet you improve. Also, sliding is not really how you should be playing. Try to drive a smooth racing line. |

You could turn on the driving line assists to learn how to play. I’d also strongly recommend turning off stability management, it makes the car too unresponsive in my opinion. The other assists are a matter of preference

I loves me some bonnet cam in racers but for some reason in this and GT Sport it feels like I'm too high up. If that makes sense?

There's a reason the "bonnet" cam seems high in this, it's because it's on the roof.* I play bumper cam which is more just the front of the car than actual bumper.
*on some cars it isn't but seems to be for most cars, easy to tell if you can see the windscreen wipers going in the rain and they're below your viewpoint.

PsilocThat's quite an easy thing to do. What you need to practice doing next is reading a post from start to finish, then asking yourself if the question really needed a response. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly. *manspreads*

They didn’t ask for advice on drifting though, so I can see how coming back in with “don’t do that, also turn on easy mode” seemed a bit patronizing. Let’s drop the passive aggressive responses and move on.

I've not played much, just finished the early speedway challenge but I am already enjoying the feel of the cars. The feedback from the controller is very good. Much easier to know when the car is losing grip. Not sure how they are doing that but it is great.
The moans about the menus are the norm everytime but this has been the way with GT for many years. Everything is just a lot snappier on the PS5 so you can generally skip things very quickly.

It frustrates the heck out of me that I can’t just select the car at the top of the screen nd change it when I want. Yeah, that's very annoying. See also not clicking back to cafe etc from there. Poor. But at least loading is quick! |

Recently completed menu item shortcut at the top of the screen. Sorted.
How the fuck did stuff like this get missed? Great game, but Jesus Christ it has some absolutely awful menu navigation...

Decided to add the T300 braking mod that came with the pedals, but GT won’t recalibrate them so I can only apply 25% brake pressure. Has anyone else been able to get this to work? I’ve had a Google and a few sites tell you to press all the pedals on the menu screen to recalibrate, but it’s not working.

APART from the final super license event which I've only managed to achieve a silver time on! It's annoying me so I've come to bed. The event places you in old 24hr Porsche racing car, slick tires at Spar with a mostly dry racing line. One touch of the wet and it's like hitting black ice. Not a chance in hell of saving it. So yeah at the moment I've put all that time in to hit gold and come undone at the final event...bah! |
