Best starting 11 we’ve had this season and we’re still shite against a league 2 side. Could not give a toss if we get knocked out as there’s no chance of winning it with Liverpool, City, Chelsea/Aston Villa and Newcastle all as good as in the last 8.

In all seriousness, the extra goal should mean absolutely nothing re: how this performance is judged. Struggling in the Prem/European competitions is one thing, struggling against a League 2 team is shambolic. There is the question of who could/should replace him, but Ten Haag should probably look for a Newport to sail to, and soon. Probably a few players with him as well.

Garnacho has moments of brilliance in him and can be consistently really decent EXCEPT for the fact he’s our most selfish player by half. I think Utd may have been three or four up before Newport scored and they’d have probably been too demoralized to catch up then - but instead Garnacho desperately wanted to hog the score sheet. Against Newport. I’d really like is at times to just play some safer, team-player based football at the opponent end. Not impressed by him and Anthony’s dives either. Shouldn’t be resorting to that playing teams down at Newport’s level. Fair f*cks to Newport. They went for it and were surprising and impressive at times. Much like Maidstone were too. |

You'd have to think it's what ETH wants from his wingers because Antony does the same on the other side and Rashford when he plays too. Plus they do it all game while he says nothing and will only make a change in the 70th minute.
Today pushed me into the ETH out crowd, it was woeful.

It was an abysmal performance against a team that isn't even doing particularly well in league 2. The excuse all season has been let's wait for our full strength team. Well this was our full strength team and we couldn't even "stick to the plan" (whatever the fuck that even is) against a club just scraping to stay in the league. It's going nowhere.

It was Newport County, the fact you're fairly sure we'd win shows how embarrassingly close that game was. |

I just didn't get annoyed at that performance really at all to be honest. Watched a lot worse shit this season.
ETH is here the rest of the season and I still hope it turns around, if it doesn't then you'd expect the new investors will make a decision.

It really wasn't close, by the time they had scored the deflected blinder we should have been 4 or 5 up.
Yeah it's a shit season and it's probably not going to get all that much better but let's not be overly dramatic. Some of you need to take a break from watching as it's not doing you any good.

The idea that pointing out a struggling, shit performance against opposition 3 divisions below us is causing some sort of larger, deep rooted mental anguish is a little condescending. Some of us can separate football from real life. We play shit, you have a little rant in the immediate aftermath and then you get on with your week.
The fact this happens nearly every week is simply because we play like shite nearly every week. Simple cause and effect. Not mentioning the elephant in the room doesn't make it not exist.
