The search said we hadn’t got a thread. So we have now.
The Rochdale Plymouth match has livened up in the second half. A popper cup tie

Was the draw made before the Everton game? Crap, midday on Monday, huddled around the radio imo.

Nice of the Premier League to make sure all of their fixtures are completed, again, while removing the chance of a pay day for other clubs.
No FA Cup third & fourth round replays

That's shit. Disguised as Covid-related I am sure, but they've got what they wanted eventually.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Be done with the Carling Cup and have MOAR REPLAYS in the FA Cup

Nah, make the EFL Cup for either EFL only or exclude teams in Europe imo.

One of my favourite footballing memories is playing against Everton (Oldham) for what seemed to be every other day over a couple of weeks in the early 90s (or late 80s perhaps) as a draw always went to yet another replay - it was great

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Be done with the Carling Cup and have MOAR REPLAYS in the FA Cup Replays are a pain in the arse though, a simple solution would be just to let the lower-ranked team choose if they want to play it home or away.

I just looked it up and it was only two replays - getting old, the memory definitely jazzes things up:
17 Feb 1990 Oldham Athletic v Everton 2-2 FA Cup 21 Feb 1990 Everton v Oldham Athletic 1-1 FA Cup 10 Mar 1990 Oldham Athletic v Everton 2-1 FA Cup

They'd be less of a pain in the arse if it was the only cup competition you were in that year though. And that would apply to almost all EPL teams.

Didn't hear them moaning about it all!

As someone who supports a lower league team I still hate the concept of cup replays.
For me the main attraction of going to a cup game is that unlike the bread & butter league fixtures there's a guaranteed winner on the night. Over 90 or 120 mins anything can happen and if not the lottery of penalties awaits. Replays ruin all of that, and if anything play into the big clubs hands by giving them a 2nd crack at it.

Maybe, but I'm not keen on penalties.
What about the lower league team goes through automatically after an extra time draw - loads of potential for park the bus v all out attack shenanigans.

So with Liverpool's COVID crisis, will they be told to get on with their game this weekend like Villa were last season?

I hope one day to feel as happy as that Swindon player did scoring a meaningless goal in an already lost game. Looked like the best moment of his life, actually made me smile which almost never happens.

I think the only person happier tonight is McCoist, he just loves commentating so much

Didn’t he pronounce it “Rodri” because that’s his name?

Nah, sounded like Delboy "Rod rig"
Rodrigo would've been fine as that was on the back of the shirt.
City also didn't have a badge on the front of their shirt, which seemed unusual, if not a first?? They did have Man City bold across the front though.

I think every big club who wear Puma have a version of that shirt this season AC Milan and Dortmund do and I’ve seen it on a few national sides as well. I’m not a fan.
