That’s not the first time the keeper has played the ball out to a player under pressure but that was absolutely daft

Sunderland look so much more dangerous now they’ve eased off on playing it out from the back (and getting pressed into oblivion)

I remember when Alex Pritchard was the hot shit youngster on our books. Had very high hopes for him. He’s still got a touch of class about him to be fair.

Quite a few of these Sunderland players look decent but when the oldest is about 23 and you’ve got players like Trippier whose played in the north London and Madrid derbies on the other side its experience as much as talent thats made the difference today.

Bit of a strange game really. Newcastle have been in almost total control, winning 3-0 and yet if it wasn’t for naivety on Sunderland’s part none of those would’ve been scored and I’m not sure if we’d have scored at all.

He was in the car on the way to sign for Brighton, before Norwich hijacked it. That season was pretty gleeful when we went on to thrash Norwich 5-0 and get promoted. Potentially a bit of a sliding doors moment for him that decision, though he did eventually play for Huddersfield in the prem.

It's silly that VAR is in some matches and not others. If it can't be in all the matches, then it shouldn't be used at all.

Match wasn't great but still flowed much better without it.

It was really nice that the derby this afternoon was allowed to just flow without a load of video stoppages. It should be uniform though. Either its all in and they develop a mobile system for lower league grounds or they say it doesn’t apply as it can’t be run everywhere. You wouldn’t run some games with only one linesman and the rest with two.

Wait, Villa hadn’t won an FA Cup game in eight years? How the fuck is that possible?

I also remember when he had had a medical down in Brighton during the start of our promotion year only to fuck us over and end up at Norwich for more money. That panned out well...

Cracking hit that. Almost a casual manner in which he sweeps it home is beautiful. Slightly better/longer clip:
Good equalizer just now by Bristol City vs West Ham. Will probably stay watching this ahead of the Wrexham game.

I see Blackburn introduced their youngest ever player, Rory Finneran, yesterday in the 5-2 win over Cambridge. He's due to have his 4th birthday next month*.
*still their youngest without the 29th Feb leap year shenanigans

It's literally impossible to try and decipher shirt numbers on that white Arsenal kit.

Should be about 7-0 now if you add up all the easy according to Alan chances.
