I do feel for Lokonga. He’s clearly not a Partey replacement but that’s been his role in this team for awhile.

Why did Lokonga come on? Arteta throwing the match? Feels planned. Another that highlights that we have a great 14/15 but once you tinker, the system doesn't quite work as well. Martinelli has done well, and Zinchenko is on another level. |

Obviously disappointed but the result makes a lot of sense when you consider the depth available to both teams and the different priorities.
It’s encouraging though that we gave them a good game with what is clearly not our starting XI. We probably just need 2 or 3 points against them in the league and it seemed doable from this game.
