Yeah he’s a proper old school striker. Pity we have AWB, malacia and Anthony crossing the ball in. Collectively Some of the worst crossers of the ball I’ve ever seen

Antony doesn't even try and cross the ball, like ever. Not sure I've ever seen us have such a one footed played. Moreso than Valencia even.

Very cool that we've got Luton in the 4th round at the weekend just as we've lost a load of loan players aswell, regulars and our only good striker isn't eligible to play. And another loan striker gone. Luton are gonna put 8 past us. |

Job done. Pellestri is so much better than Anthony No he's not, Pellestri needs to be very slowly given more time int he team, he's absolutely not up to speed to jump straight in yet. Antony was good last night so I really don't know what you're expecting from him. His crossing needs to improve but his shooting is good. He has AWB (not) providing over and underlapping runs so that also reflects poorly on him. He has bags of ability and I think he's been nothing less than solid. Don't let the price tag completely cloud your thoughts. |

He's had half a season in a new league and his price tag does him no favours, but he's been ok. Works really hard without the ball too, which is a big the for EtH.
My biggest complaint is that he's one footed so far. But maybe he can improve on that.

Pellestri still looks so raw, and has loads of mistakes in him. Got in some great positions in the small amount of time he played against Forest though. Antony has great touch, control, link up and doesn't really make mistakes. Plays it safe a lot, always relies on the same thing, seemingly impossible for him to cross the ball on his right, and never really does on his left either for that matter. Pairs a great deal better with Dalot or any better attacking rb than AWB.

Thankfully most of you are sane. He holds wide very well and often provides a great option for Shaw or Malacia to hit that long diagonal.
I'll say we're currently playing quite well. He starts almost every game, whilst he's certainly not the sole reason for the team playing well I don't think the two are unconnected. We look very balanced when our first 11 are playing imo.

I think there's still an expectation that anyone with that sort of price tag on their head has to come in and be Messi, or they've immediately failed. When the reality is he's a kid in a new league. There's some valid criticisms, but I have no doubt he'll improve and his off the ball play - covering, making space etc - has definitely made us better, given us an out that we didn't have before.
Some people just demand instant results and immediately throw shit when they don't get it. *shrug*
