It's because their base price is more expensive here. I feel you pain, because when I was waiting for Lego City Underground to go on sale on the Switch, I noticed that the standard price was 30 dollars in the USA and 60 euro here. And I think it's still sitting there, Isn’t that due to tax being added in the states on top of the shown price? Not all American states have a sales tax. But even for those that do, it's usually not above 8% or so. On a side note, Marvel Superheroes 2 is even worse: 60 euro here, 20 dollars there. Incidentally, there is also a Marvel Superheroes bundle (it has the two games and Avengers) which is 60 dollars in the USA.... and 60 euro here. So yeah, the pricing is all out of whack. If you want to easily check out various regional prices (and also all kind of deals, plus pricing history), there's Deku Deals, which used to be for Switch only but has recently added Xbox and Playstation games too.

I often use Major Nelson's site to check out the weekly deals, and all the store links go to the US storefront by default, where (roughly) you see equivalent deals. But the Lego stuff remains consistently more expensive regardless, and I'm not sure why. Maybe they have to pay more to Lego over here?

It's a shame xbox doesn't have an equivalent if IsThereAnyDeal for PC games.

regarding US tax in price differentials, that mostly only applies to physical items. If I order as an example, Elden Ring off Amazon, I'm paying the 9.25% tax on top of what's listed. If I buy it digitally off Xbox, I'm just paying the $59.99 it's going for. Plus the bing points credit makes, unlike in the UK, digital purchases much cheaper here than physical. Especially since most retailers stick heavily towards MSRP. Except for Walmart, who often sells games for about $10 less.

I've got my pre-order in for X/S GTA V at half price. I would have paid full price for it, who am I kidding. I'll definitely go for half price and risk it going on Game Pass pretty quick anyway.

If anyone wants to check if a game is cheaper on a different region, here is a site to check: xbox-store-checker.com/en/Some regions need a VPN, some just work straight away. Always check here first before you buy anything as you can save loads.

Just spotted the RIDICULOUSLY low price for XCOM 2 and all its DLC. £3.99 on the UK store.
Cheapest being £2.72 from the Brazil store.
Absolutely brilliant game.

If anyone's using a Xbox One I'd look into the performance. It plays fine on my Series X, but I had it on PS4 and it was a shambles; almost unplayable because of loading times and issues with freeze and stutter.

On the price differences between regions discussion, I see Ubisoft are also sketchy: Immortals Fenyx for instance is 75% less in the US but only 55% in EU/GB in the current sale...

FWIW, we don'f get Call of Duty nearly as often as you all seem to, and when we do it's rarely enough to make a purchase worth it. Ubi games though, yeah, they're always really cheap here. WB too.

Easter Sale is expected to drop tomorrow or Friday, hence this week's current offerings being a tad lacklustre.

As annoying as it is to do those daily Bing searches and GamePass quests, it's nice to get games for free. Just bought both Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect for $2.99 each free.

Sale is now on but TA have yet to put their handy list on their website. Once they do I'll post the link.

Fully agree Due to doing all the various quests (daily, weekly, monthly etc), well most across xbox and bing I got both FC6 Gold and ME Leg (upon release no less!) for around £25 due to quests. Currently have 54000 points...45 quid!

Is there a summary of how to do all that, and what is the best way? Especially the bing searches etc, how many of those do you need to do?

The best way is via the Rewards app on the console itself. It's pretty self-explanatory. The mobile app used to be good but they've recently reduced the rewards on that.

A bit of a generic sale once again.
£29.99 as a sale price for RAGE 2 is an absolute joke at this point.

At this point buying games outright is against their business model. Subs or die.
