If someone asked you to pick 5 though I'd need weeks but my first 3 would probably be in there.

I would never have had you down as a fan of The Fall. The piccie is more to do with me similarly having a face like an unmade bed so used Mr Smith for Facebook etc. as I hate photos of myself. I then chose the same for Eurogamer. Then, when moving from Eurogamer, I thought I should keep the theme as I had changed my user name.

Much like the whole favourite film thing though, it depends on your mood. And where you're at in life. But yeah, play the game... no-one is going to enforce it, so just take a punt.

Prince - Sign 'O' The Times This is specifically what I was thinking of when I mentioned favourite vs return to all the time. Any given day, I might say Sign 'O' The Times is my favourite Prince album, but you know, I might not always want to listen to Adore or The Cross. Parade could've easily been swapped for Purple Rain though. Both are flawless.

I could never take the place of your man, the Cross and the title track - simply unbelievable.

I think pretty much everything Prince did in the 80s was fantastic. Dirty Mind to Lovesexy , every album was great. Shame he could t keep it up afterwards, always amazing live though.

It's been AGES since I've watched the concert film. I'm going to need to find a way to watch it in the near future.

'Orbital - insides' - The original, not the rereleased version with the theme from the Saint on it... WTF was the point of that even?. It was pretty much the soundtrack to a road trip across America in my early teens and I still get goosebumps when 'out there somewhere' transitions into that lovely melody.
'Nirvana - MTV unplugged'
'Leftfield - Leftism'
'Daft Punk - Homework' - I just love the rawness of some of the tracks if you look past the singles (which I also love)
'Morcheeba - Charango' - I fairly randomly got given this while I was doing work experience at a radio station. Ended up having this on repeat play that summer and I still love coming back to it.
Could go on for ages and would need a much longer list for mixes...

I genuinely think Insides is a perfect album. There isn't a single thing I'd change about it. The re-release isn't too bad as the extra track is at the end so you can just ignore it, but yeah, it's utterly pointless

Much like the whole favourite film thing though, it depends on your mood. And where you're at in life.. Yup. The last thing I did on Facebook before I binned it was the ten albums a day thing and the list would look a bit different today, although the bulk would still be what I was into at 16. And I know decks was joking earlier but I did include one NOW album. I got it for Xmas when I was like 10 or 11 and it was like a gateway drug to everything I ever really got into www.nowmusic.com/albums/now-thats-what-i-call-music-17/

Antics is indeed the best Interpol album. I been listening to a fair bit of Interpol recently. I forgot they existed and something random came in the radio which sounded a lot like them (but wasn,t them) which made me go back and listen to them. Forgot how good they are. I I guess they’re at that age where they influenced newer bands.

Yeah, it's weird because I've tried listening to their other albums and I bounce off them. There aren't many bands I like where I only like one album, but it's true of one of my favourite ever albums.

I can’t work out if the streaming services and their algorithms help me find new stuff or stop me finding new stuff. I have a playlist of about 80 songs that they’ve suggested over the years that I bothered to add to but there aren’t many of those that I’ve bothered to listen to the albums repeatedly like I used to.
Music review websites don’t help either. I discovered more when I used to go to a music shop and just buy some random new releases, half the time based on the artwork or title.

Of all time...
In Rainbows - Radiohead The Suburbs - Arcade Fire Sea Change - Beck Comfort in Sound - Feeder Sound of Silver - LCD Soundsystem
Those are the top 5 albums I know I love, but the longer I wait between listens, the more surprised I am about how much I love them.
