Maybe this should be the lighting of the touchpaper to stamp this shit out once and for all then. Appropriate that it should start with a band known for starting fires. Either way I'm following it to see what else comes out. I've not burned my R+ vinyl yet.

That statement was a hard read. I've no doubt there is truth there but like anything, we have one side of a story here, and not even a first hand account at that. I do still believe BG is a massive cunt mind you and if it all played out exactly as stated there then that is horrendous, but there would surely be contracts and legalities involved in the share of profits from recordings etc and it's never as straight forward as two in the band just suddenly refusing profits to another founding member. Either way I've never been a fan of PS and Gillespie is a cockend either way. Yeah I'm of that mindset. |

The whole situation is just tawdry and nasty regardless of anything illegal. Even if there was no spiking and nothing done without consent, it’s still all pretty fucking dirty. It’s still an abuse of power and position to have impressionable young women sleeping with you. Oh it's very seedy. It probably shouldn't be seen as totally fine in this day and age but I suspect it's pretty common, but they're hardly the first or only band to act in such a way and on the scale of nastiness I've heard rumours and stories of much worse behaviour. The Warped Tour, for example. All of which is to say, I don't support this behaviour but if we're going to condemn one band there wouldn't be many bands left to like. Also, just because it happens elsewhere doesn't make it any better. Rammstein are bigger than ever before and have massive influence. None of this is in any way okay. |

Anyway, I'm going from Rammstein into Rant-stein. So I'll say no more until I know more. Like I say, I'd rather nothing untowards happened and everyone was super happy, but it is what it is.

The Rammstein thing is absolutely grim.
Taking young impressionable female fans, segregating them, plying them with booze while being assured it's "it's not a sex thing" before being put in a small room alone out of sight for sex.
How many young fans in that situation would say no? Just a total absuse of power. Sure he's stopped when told no, but then reacting angry/aggressive in the process.. Which just kind of reinforces how calculated the whole thing is, by carefully making it "not quite rape" while funneling girls into an almost impossible position where very few would actually say no.

The thing is cubby, is that falling through the bar is a much more concise joke regarding less setup and arguably possessing a payoff that's greater than the chandelier. It's an excellent piece of physical comedy not just from David Jason, but also Roger Lloyd Pack. |
