I went into Urban Outfitters with the girl and it looked like they had raided my teenage wardrobe. Proper mid-90s rave/baggy gear with a splash of grunge.

It's odd. Theoretically "retro" should only be 20 ish years, as the youth raid their parents' wardrobe. When I was at school in the 00s, the 80s were very in but that lingered for fucking ages.

I actually put it down to people having kids older, so the retro thing is now 30 years.

There were more 'tribes' back then. The youth all seem to look similar these days, there's not any major musical movements to align yourself with these days is there?

Given 90s was peak post-modernism and supermarket of style, it's a fair point to make. There's definitely more homogeneity these days, from what I can tell.

Yeah, think the 80s revival came when I was completely out of school.

Still haven't been able to finish the first episode of that show. I've tried on three separate occasions but each and every time I ended up turning it off halfway through. Completely bounce off it.

Yeah it can get in the bin. "Whacky adventures" my arse. I can think of at least a dozen animated series that are better.
