Controversial but I don’t mind that he’s pushing back a bit because I don’t like this modern life of cancel culture. Having said that I believe he is in the wrong in the broadest sense but sexual innuendo has always been a small part of cookery shows/competitions and a lot of celebrity chefs have embraced and run with it to the benefit of their careers. Female and male. You can’t tell me Nigella doesn’t know what she’s doing! But he has to hold his hands up and admit he has probably overstepped the line on some occasions and should apologise for any offences caused. But yes Greg is a case of not growing older gracefully unfortunately and taking a stand like this is certainly dangerous but part of me also thinks good on him why not? So, I never watch MC because it's a boring load of shit, and he's a horrendous cunt, even without the accusations, but it sounds to me that the complaints aren't about the odd bit of humourous aubergine related entendre, but about him persistently and inappropriately bringing up stories about sex, S&M, his private life, asking stupid questions about other's people's private lives, and other things that would get you called up to HR by any other job in the country. Too many episodes of MasterChef have clearly blancmanged my mind. Greg’s a bit of a wrong’un with no humility and yes I can understand it comes down to issues of consent. I’ll still miss the potato headed cheeky presenting style though but that’s just me.

Alright, lets give him that I guess but a lot of the worst complaints were from the crew of a different show. And the celebrity contestants too. One of them was in a multi-series show which featured a disembodied anus as a recurring character and ended with the host wearing a jizz filled jack-o-lantern (the cumpkin) on his head. The prude.
I’ve worked with loads of students since starting work here and it would only take me asking one the bedroom logistics of their sex life while taking my top off in the office to be a real career ending incident.
