I actually liked Andromeda. Had its issues but I wish they had carried on with the series rather than go back to the original crew.
We know Liaras back and the new poster seems to show Wrex, a geth and them walking to a body which will likely be Shepard. Course I could be completely wrong.
Do feel Bioware need to nail this otherwise they are closer to EA taking them out back and putting a bullet in them.

I’m not sure more Shepherd makes sense narratively buf its obviously the biggest step commercially.

When was the last good bioware game? From Baldurs gate through to mass effect 2, and most of 3, they were by a fucking huge distance my favourite devs ever.
I am half way through me3 legendary and although I know the end is shit, the game is just fucking epic and I love every second. Damn I hope they can recapture their mojo.

Had DA2 since launch and yet to play it.
Need to play the series seeing as you can play them all on Series X

Some very obvious cut corners but the most interesting narratively speaking

It's going to be Idris Elba obviously because he can.
I look forward to more mass effect although I'd rather them do a new i.p.

I got the Platinum and completed the trilogy on this N7 day thing yesterday by pure coincidence, lovely stuff.

Despite my low confidence in Bioware, I'm well up for this. Happy if they bring back Shepard, the destroy option where he survives was always my canon ending.

MaShep is pretty stilted in the first game but gets much, much better in 2 and 3

Can only play Andromeda heavily modded now. Not just for aesthetics, but for quality of life improvements.

Didn't they say it would add 6 months to the dev time?

They probably imagined that nobody would care, because nobody cares about that DLC.
(because it's shit)

I'm still mind-boggled that over 90% of players went Paragon, despite the supreme badassery of Renegade action prompts in ME2. Personally I don't play RPGs to just make the same choices I'd make in real life. And some tabloid reporters need a good punching.

I was pure Paragon but it just felt natural for my Femshep to be a hero.
Broshep I can see being more of a space jerk

Sexist!
As if FemShep could go full Paragon while also having to deal with her woman's period

Personally I don't play RPGs to just make the same choices I'd make in real life. And some tabloid reporters need a good punching. I think they're just counting which people were overall. I took virtually every Renegade prompt in ME2 and a tons of Renegade options in the others and still end up with a longer Paragon bar, so I think they'd count that as Paragon. As for the new ME I'm pretty excited. The bodies in the picture are likely Geth but who knows what is in the crater. Seems likely it'll be set several hundred years on from ME3, and after Andromeda, probably involving Liara somehow getting the Andromeda people to send someone back to help her with some mission. She's definitely in it as noted. I suspect Wrex is a trick and it's probably a child of his in his armour, but Krogan do live that long so who knows? Hopefully they don't actually resurrect Shepard but given Shepard has been brought back to life before and cloned before, we might see someone trying, or trying to pass off a clone or something. We can be pretty sure they won't be the player, I suspect. Seems like they're playing it a lot smarter than MEA, which was not as bad as the legends tell but also not great.

For me FemShep was always a Renegade. MaleShep was always a good, albeit boring, guy.
Though I can't do a 100% renegade run as sometimes some of the bits I can't bring myself to do. Especially if it includes betraying a friends trust.

Jennifer Hale as Renegade Shep is just the absolute best, she is an amazing actor. There is just so much emotion in her voice.
There is a scene in ME3 on Mars where the killer bot is about to get away. FemShep shouts out for anyone to help, right before James crashes into the shuttle. You can hear the pure desperation in her voice, it is pure awesomeness. There are loads of emotional scenes like this, Jennifer is on point at all times with how she deliveres her lines which just makes the playthrough as FemShep so much better than MaleShep. No offence to Mark, but I couldnt imagine playing the series as anyone except FemShep now.

Yeah I never went 100% Renegade (though the first game at least encourages you to go heavily in one direction or another). There were some choices - eg. stuff to do with the Genophage - that didn't really map all that well onto the Paragon/Renegade axis. There's some justifications they try for genociding an entire species, but they're not all that convincing.

I've played the trilogy with both male and female leads and FemShep is a cut above. Playing the trilogy back to back this year was so awesome!

Latest episode of The Grand Tour used the Lair Of The Shadow Broker theme in a segment. I don't think it's the first time they've used music from the Mass Effect series, someone on the production team is apparently a fan.

Now that it's on Game Pass, I feel really tempted to revisit the trilogy (my avatar would agree). They are exceptional games, and I won't let a few missteps in ME3 ruin 100 hours of great lore, fantastic music and interesting characters. Also, Citadel is the best DLC ever made for any game. There, I said it.

There are so many great details. E.g. in ME1, if you recruit Liara last she thinks you're a hallucination, because she was trapped in that force field for so long.
