I've seen re-releases of 2001 twice at the cinema. It is by far the best way to experience that film. Interstellar I've seen twice as well, once at original release at the BFI IMAX in London and about a year ago they did a re-releases.
I also saw Phantom Menace twice when it came out. I was a dumb kid that loved it. Think that is the only film I've seen twice during the original release.

2001 is absolutely mind blowing on the big screen. It’s the sound as much as anything else, it just gets in your head.
The movie I’ve seen the most at the cinema is probably Jurassic Park. I went to see it maybe half a dozen times on its original release with various groups of friends/family and I took the girl when it had its 30th run.

I saw Tenet two nights consecutively, the second time was a subtitled screening, because I couldn't follow what happened the first time.
And then more recently, the Taylor Swift concert.

The only double cinema viewing I have ever done was for Pulp Fiction. Once was with some folk from uni, then went again with my best mates. It was still great on the second viewing. Just had to try not to give any spoilers! By coincidence I did my first cinema viewing of Pulp Fiction last night. That soundtrack with a proper speaker system is quite the thing.

Beast Idris fights off a mental lion who is out seeking revenge for the killing of its pride. No tension/drama/anything of any merit coupled with the most annoying cinema kids in history. Would have been so much better if he'd just fed the kids to the lion and done a runner while it was busy. Complete and utter crap, waste your 90 minutes elsewhere. The Ghost and the Darkness or GTFO.

The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi are the only films I've seen multiple times at the cinema, because different people wanted to go, rather than enthusiasm on my part. Both were better on the 2nd viewing though, especially TLJ. I'm not quite old enough to have seen the OT on their first cinema runs and Rogue One is probably the only other SW film that I don't regret making the one trip for.

Alien and Aliens
Did a double bill of these today. Both are 10/10 perfection, as we all know. Truly iconic. What struck me the most this time around was just how great the practical effects look, particularly Ripley in the loader fighting the queen. I'm not a CGI hater by any means, but this scene looks so solid and real... because it is. Pretty rare that CGI can capture that.

Yep, and where they went wrong subsequently. Also no tension in showing the aliens repeatedly.

I'm not a CGI hater by any means, but this scene looks so solid and real... because it is. Pretty rare that CGI can capture that. 100%. Just rewatched Aliens myself and it just felt remarkably real and fresh - odd words to use. The only criticism I have is the obvious one of shots of the dropship flying towards the planet / reactor etc i.e. the rare examples of where models and practical effects weren't used. But even the crashing of the first dropship shows that Cameron was a master at combining backscreen projection and foreground practical effects. Also, the script: the characters are so economically drawn and fully convincing in their roles. Burke gets a lot of scenes to demonstrate what a colossal asshole he is (kudos to Paul Reiser, who is just fantastic) but other smaller scenes are great too - like Hicks and Apone's approval of Ripley's skill in the loader. Both films are almost flawless.

But there's only one alien in it? I feel like that's a little disappointing, there really should be more than one.
