I love Logan, but there's something about Jean Luc being nursed by Stephen Merchant which breaks the 4th wall for me. The good bits of Logan are really great, but it does have some really dumb/cheesy bits as well. The action, performances and character moments carry it, but the plot is a bit rubbish.

Was going to say that’s a very high placing for The New Mutants, but also can’t deny that there’s a clear point where everything above it is pretty decent and everything from that point and on is a bit nob.
I enjoyed The Last Stand more than most. (If not all).

Ranking New Mutants that high is probably the most "me" thing on the list (in that I don't necessarily expect most people to agree with me). But you're right about the overall quality. It's an incredibly variable set of films; 18 in total I think it was, and at least half of them are a bit wank.

Good effort on completing the list. Tempted to cover Morbius, Madame Web et al?

Good effort on completing the list. Tempted to cover Morbius, Madame Web et al? Cheers. I was really just doing the Fox films. It started because (a) there were a few I hadn't seen and (b) I wanted to refresh my memory before D&W. If I went into "non-Disney Marvel movie" territory I fear it would court madness ;-) Do I include Blade?!

You'd have to include stuff like Death of the Incredible Hulk and the unreleasd FF movie by Roger Corman.

Hehehe.
To be fair I think you’re past the worst. The Blade trilogy would be a fairly easy watch. Pre-book Kraven the Hunter now and beat the rush.

Morbius is worse than anything Fox put out IMO. Not by much, but still.
I do need to re-watch the Blade trilogy... I've still never seen Trinity, as it happens...
Hmmmm!

The best part is where they cgi'd Snipes' eyes over his closed eyes because he refused to open them.

Trinity is one of quite a few films I saw after living in Vancouver that you’d watch and immediately say “yep, that’s Vancouver”.
See also Fantastic Four 2005.

Just watch Blade 1 and then forget the rest. Unless you're a particularly big Bros fan.

The Watchers - not highly original (imo) but I did enjoy this. A fun creepy ride. Good ensemble of interesting characters and a good twist in the tale. Ishana Night Shyamalan remains one of the most interesting directors for intriguing plot twists and ideas. 7.5/10

I thought Blade II was decent? I haven't seen it in about 20 years.

Blade 1 is awesome.
Blade 2 has light that can go around corners, so it's up to you if that's awesome or dumb.
We don't talk about Blade 3.

I'd probably put Blade 2 above the original. It's a ton of fun.

Blade 2 has Darryl from The Walking Dead, The Cat From Red Dwarf, and him who was Vincent van Gogh in that Doctor Who episode where they met Vincent van Gogh.

I was trying to think of that other vampire film. Daybreakers. I recall the premise being fairly interesting, but as it went on.. then things got incredibly stupid.

The Survivalist - Prime - 9/10
Wow, cracking little gem. Post-apocalyptic movie about a man surviving in the woods/basically cosplaying Valheim. It's a tight thriller where the tension never lets up. If you like your doomsday films grounded in realism then this comes highly recommended.

Longlegs
Went to see this on a whim, but really enjoyed it. Enjoyed is an odd word, it's really dark and disturbing. Pretty simple plot than what is usual for this type of story, but it's filmed really well and it's really tense all the way through. Nicolas Cage was amazing too, he's got quite a diverse portfolio now! 😅
8.5

Blade 2 was the best one. Proper nasty streak to it and it’s a del toro movie so has some pedigree too.

Blade I and II are brilliant. I kinda like Blade III, mostly due to Ryan Reynolds calling someone a "cock juggling thundercunt"
