The Holland one on the Eurotrip is worse than Spidey 3. Bloody hell. It's crap, cgi is crap. Wasted JG and Mysterio. And it's just boring and plays it safe after Endgame.

Well, nobody asked for it, but I'd rank them:
No Way Home Into the Spider-Verse Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Homecoming Spider-Man 2 Far From Home Amazing Spider-Man 3 Amazing 2

I just realised it feels a bit feeble to criticise Raimi for including Three Stooges inspired scenes in his films when he’s made no secret of his love for them. Evil Dead is basically Three Stooges with deadites and chainsaw hands.
Tough call between sm3 and Asm2 for my least favourite. Asm2 is objectively the worse film, probably, but nothing can compare to the dawning disappointment that hit me when I saw sm3 for the first time. The first third or so wasn’t too bad, but it really takes a dive as soon as the black costume goes on.
At one point Raimi was penned to do a fourth part with John Malkovich as Vulture. That might have been interesting, but then I remember he also expressed an interest in having “vulturettes”, and I reckon we might have dodged a bullet.
I enjoyed his Dr Strange film, for what it was worth.

It's ok though, because the Vulturettes would probably have been played by Bruce Campbell. His Dr Strange was great. Especially the dawning realisation of everyone watching it that it wasn't your average marvel film. And then the collective "Ohhh! That's why!" when his name came up at the end.
PS/ Homecoming was fun, but putting it above Spider-man 2 should be a crime.

Two or three years ago I'd have agreed with you, but when I rewatched it, it felt much more of a chore than I'd remembered. All the actual Spider-Man-in-costume stuff, and the Ock stuff, is tremendous; but the Peter/MJ/Harry stuff is like an episode of the OC. To be fair, it might still be a smidge better than Homecoming. They're very, very close. Homecoming never quite reaches the heights of SM2, but it's also a much more even and consistently entertaining film.

I was off ill today and I noticed account sharing works on my new Apple TV so:
Atlas - absolute dog shit. Jennifer Lopez plays a 30 something woman called Atlas, and you know that’s her name because everyone says it every 30 seconds, who is the Ripley on a team of space marines blasted off into space to chase an AI who genocided 3m people.
I say Ripley, it’s Ripley if Ripley acted like an annoying, whiney toddler for the entire movie. She is genuinely unbearable.
The story itself is I, Robot meets Titanfall but the Titan is piloted by an absolute twat for the entire game. I think this might be the first AI produced movie because the plot is absolutely fucking ludicrous. AI wipes out a good chunk of humanity and we respond by just carrying on using it because the moral of the story is that it’s alright really, we just need to overcome our prejudices against something with the capability to wipe out life on earth.
Which it tries to do by scorching the atmosphere. Because humans are a danger to other species.
Expensive, artless, irritating shite.
1/10

Does Netflix still ask for a thumbs up/down? Make your vote count.

MolarAm has already comprehensively reviewed Furiosa already and I won't go over it again but I do have a difference of opinion about it, I think it's better than Fury Road.
Many, many pages ago I said I thought it was good but too much of one action scene stretched to the length of a film and while I enjoyed it I felt it was flawed.
I do not have the same opinion about Furiosa, it's still a fairly simple tale of revenge it's got a lot more going on than the film that's after it chronologically.
The action is more restrained (sort of) but still excellent and there's a big element that wasn't in Fury Road no Gyro Captain or Jebediah but plenty of flying people , it also looked a lot more real, not having any 3D elements was a relief too.
Anyhow it's really, really good, go along to the cinema to see it on a huge screen with a good sound system and for fans of the excellent Mad Max video game Chumbucket has a very brief appearance.

Furiosa. 8.7/10. Again, I agree with Whizzo, it's a better film than Fury Road, by quite some distance in my view.

As great as Miller is, I watched Fury Road a few days ago and I literally can’t see how that’s possible

Really looking forward to seeing Furiosa, been a while since I wanted to go to the cinema, but this is definitely going to make me go.

Been on a bit of an X-Men kick after finishing the excellent '97, so...
X-Men - 7/10 It held up better than I thought it would, aside from some very ropey effects. Xavier and Magneto are excellent as always, and the rest of the gang are pretty solid. Feels far longer than it actually is considering it's a relatively short 1:44.
X-Men 2 - 7/10 In my mind it was a 10/10 masterpiece and the benchmark for all other superhero films. I absolutely adored it back in the day. In reality it's merely alright.

Brian and Charles
At first I felt like I was watching and extended episode of Derek, as Earl’s character feels identical as his role in that, but very quickly this film sucks you in (if you let it).
Utterly bizarre. Often weirdly hilarious.
7/10

I really enjoyed Furiosa. I’m struggling to find a negative despite it not being as good as Fury Road. It’s just a blast.

I think X-Men 2 is a decent 8/10, but that opening sequence with Nightcrawler is fantastic. Rest of the film doesn't really live up to that scene.

The Fall Guy
7/10 from me (8/10 from the missus)
But then I’m not a Ryan Gosling fan… he’s ok but not great imo

8/10 for me, but I'm a bit gay for Gosling. Great chemistry between the leads, it cracks along at a decent pace, looks great and has some excellent stunts. Kind of felt like they totally ignored that he was the other side of the world at the time of the murder, though. As frame jobs go, that was pretty fucking flimsy!

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 double bill last night.
Deadpool
Still a lot of fun and zips along at a good pace.
8/10
Deadpool 2
A bit of a waste this one. A handful of good lines but odd pacing makes it all a little bit dull. It’s never a good thing when the end credits scene is the best bit of the film.
5/10
