Was there ever any doubt that it was her all along? Or do you mean that there was a thing in her head being the crap twist? The latter. It just came across as really shit (for me anyway)I liked all the reverse shit though. I still can't quite decide whether it was total bollocks or genius. The advertising for this was such a misdirection as its not a horror. Its like a comedy version of James wans other films (insidious/conjuring) just absurd. EDIT: About Malignant

Hmmm I really quite fancied Malignant as I'm quite a fan of the Wan, but I have to say this has tempered my enthusiasm somewhat. Is it streaming anywhere in case I decided to take the plunge?

So this year I completed an MCU re-watch. I was supposed to finish it off before Black Widow but I only managed it last night, polishing off Far From Home. Sadly this meant I ended up watching some of them slightly out of order, but never mind.
Anyway, here we are, the official Britesparc MCU Ratings List:
Iron Man - 8/10 The Incredible Hulk - 5/10 Iron Man 2 - 6/10 Thor - 7/10 Captain America: The First Avenger - 9/10 The Avengers - 9/10 Iron Man 3 - 10/10 Thor: The Dark World - 6/10 Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 9/10 Guardians of the Galaxy - 8/10 Avengers: Age of Ultron - 7/10 Ant-Man - 7/10 Captain America: Civil War - 10/10 Doctor Strange - 6/10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - 8/10 Spider-Man: Homecoming - 8/10 Thor: Ragnarok - 9/10 Black Panther - 8/10 Avengers: Infinity War - 10/10 Ant-Man and the Wasp - 7/10 Captain Marvel - 7/10 Avengers: Endgame - 10/10 Spider-Man: Far From Home - 7/10 Black Widow - 7/10 Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - 8/10
And the TV series would be: WandaVision - 10/10 The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - 6/10 Loki - 8/10 What If...? - 7/10 (so far)

Something Wild - 10/10
A weird-ass 80s road movie that is quite unlike anything I've seen before. Presents as a typical 80s comedy but is quite dark and the end sequence is like a horror movie.
(The Criterion Collection Bluray is lovely)
The Exorcist 3 - 8/10
A weird-ass 90s horror movie that has very little to do with The Exorcist. More of a hardboiled psychological thriller with crazy horror bits snuck in. Has some extremely creepy stuff going on. Going to watch the director's cut next.
(The Arrow Video Blurary is lovely)
Tomb Raider (the latest one) - 5/10
Starts well enough but then gets pish.

If you like Something Wild, I'd give Scorsese's After Hours a watch too, they're cut from the same cloth.

I've been wanting to watch The Exorcist 3 as I recently read and enjoyed the book but it never seems to be available on any of the streaming places, even to buy.

If it helps, the exorcist sequels are universally shit.

3 seems to have a bit of a cult following now and the book was pretty good I thought. Written and directed by the guy who wrote the first book.

I think it’s the weird tie in with Jeffrey Dahmer (he was a big fan) that brought it a cult following. It’s still pretty shit.

I'LL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT
If it ever becomes free to watch on an easily accessible streaming service.

Oh look, I can just put the Blu-ray on RITE NOW because I own it and aren't shackled to the licensing vagaries of a cutting-edge supermodern streaming service.
Oh, it's a wonderfull life!

The book is good, I’ll give you that, but the movie suffers from a ridiculously shoehorned in bollocks exorcism subplot just so they could justify using “exorcist” in the title. The recent ish directors cut is interesting but made from so much incomplete or poor quality footage it’s difficult to watch.

It's available to stream for free on practically every service here, I stopped scrolling after a while. So you could always move to the US to fulfill your Exorcist 3 quest, you just have to deal with Trump flags and obesity in exchange.

There must be a cheaper way to watch it than moving to America. One for the boffins to figure out I guess.

Yeah, the saw series is a guilty pleasure of mine, but the first one in particular is great. The main guy in it who's chained next to the bath tub wrote it.

Exorcist 3 is great, I don't know what you're talking about Even 2 has its moments. Is 3 the one with the fucking freaky as fuck scene Patient appearing out of nowhere with those big ass scissors or am I thinking of some other film?

That's the only bit I remember to be fair. That's definitely exorcist 3.
Now I've got a hankering to watch it. Does my player need to be blue?

You may find the streaming lords hate you vis a vis Exorcist 3.
Yes, the scene with the shears is the most infamous bit, as well as granny on the ceiling.
It's actually a really great film, as it mixes Blatty's offbeat humour (he was a comedy writer before becoming famous for horror) as well as truly unsettling moments. The dream sequence in 'heaven' for example.
It's worth seeing The Ninth Configuration, the other film he directed, as it has the same themes, essentially: if there is a God, and He is good, why does He let evil exist in the world?
The novel of Legion is really great, the closing lines really stayed with me - they're not horrific at all, just profound.

Love the Ninth Configuration. Really enjoyed The Exorcist novel but not read Legion yet. Exorcist 3 is definitely not shit, can’t speak on the director’s cut which is apparently much closer to the novel and removes a lot of the links to The Exorcist that the studio insisted on. But the Blu-ray comes with it so I can watch it at my leisure.
After Hours is something I’ve been meaning to watch for ages, seems pretty hard to get hold of though.

I watched The Exorcist 2 a few weeks ago. I didn't think it was as bad as people make out, but it was still shite.

I think we can all agree time will not be so kind to The Beginning/Dominion. Though getting two films out of one makes for an interesting Hollywood tale in itself.
