Tonight has been all about enduring extremely loud karaoke from one of the houses across the way (someone's got a thing for Human League songs, and also for absolutely murdering Human League songs), which abrubtly cut off just now followed by a lot of angry shouting and then two of the loud people out in the street, one screaming "Get back in the fucking house you slag." and etcetera.
So there's that.

Last night my neighbours were shouting, screaming and braying like donkeys (I think they call it laughing) while their excitable dog was barking. This morning it was the dog and then a workman with a drill first thing. The workman is still there judging from the drill noises. Thoughtless tossers. They are so lucky I live with other people or I would move to the back of the house and play opera all night.

I've had a call from my dad who is having problems with his neighbour and wants me to get involved. Not the first time and it went on for ages last time and he wasn't happy with my advice then. My advice this time is probably going to be "don't open the window you've not opened in years for a few more years as you were happy until you did". Well, it's not, but I'd like it to be.

I've got to find out more about it. The council are pretty good, but I'll see and then try and help. I'm not great at dealing with things like this myself, but I'll do what I can.

I'm starting to feel like I'm under constant attack from my next door neighbours, whilst working from home.
I was born in the north and have lived most of my life in Yorkshire, but I don't feel the need to speak at twice the normal volume, just because I've got a Yaaaaaarkshire accent.
I live in Victorian terrace, and the walls are paper thin, but they seem to go out of their way to be noisy.
Their son wakes up, shouts at the cats, has an argument with mum... then he shouts at Fifa / Fortnite all afternoon, before going to work.
Then the dad arrives home from work early afternoon, starts shouting at people around the house, before sticking Sky Sports News on all afternoon at full volume, and/or singing football songs.
Then the son arrives back from work and has an argument with his parents... then shouts at Fifa / Fortnite all evening.
Then they have the daily argument about what takeaway to order.
Then finally silence, at around 9-10pm.
Edit: I honestly feel like I'm living in their house, as if my living room is merely another room in their house.

My great great x8 grandfather had a gentleman's agreement with William the Conqueror that he could have Wales to himself if he kept the locals off of his land, so I can park where I want in Cardiff without paying a charge. I have a sack of little yellow tickets I have ignored to prove it.

When we were looking at houses the estate agent on one house told us the owners had an agreement to park in a certain area of a cul de sac across the road. Needless to say we didn't buy it!

I was looking at apartments and the Real Estate agent advised they had oversold the spaces under the building so had arranged for a space a ten minute walk away.
