I texted a picture to my dad and he thinks they're taking the piss...maybe I've got early onset moaning old bastard syndrome.

To play devil's advocate for a second, if they leave them there a while (ed: instead of storing them in the bin store they put there) and they start to stink the place up I'd maybe have a word. Is that "dead space" next to the parking spot legally intended for their bins?
I'm not sure if they can just do what they please with their parking space... Could they build a shed on it, for instance?

Might try and be a helpful neighbour tomorrow and try to put their black bins in the storage after the binmen come, and then he has me on ring camera trying to be helpful and not realising the storage isn't for the bins. Starts a conversation about it at least.

CLARIFICATION: Is that their private parking space and is that their car? Or is it a public space? Either way, to me, that looks like a valid spot to park your bikes. The fact it's in a store of some kind makes little difference, they're just trying to look after their bikes. Dare I say that little spot might be an ideal place to park bikes. If it's a public spot I'd ask them to move it off the line and that would be it. But if it's their spot then I wouldn't give a shit. It's arguably tidier than loose bikes. Plus I'm guessing that they don't have a ton of room where they could store them. Unless there is some other stuff festering that you haven't shared, I think this is one of those things that you've wound yourself up over. We've all been there I've got a friend who lives on a new development with a drive, and she has people who live doors away parking their big horrible vans right in front of her front door all day and night but just she doesn't care. I get annoyed for her |

I still don't massively see the problem here. Yes, it's a bit unsightly and they may be slightly taking the piss, but not enough for me to do anything about. You've still got to live near them, engage etc. Neighbourly disputes are just the worst and best avoided imo.
