Our yard is a wreck but at least we still have one. Sister-in-law has had their back wall blow over onto their car and brother-in-law’s parent’s roof has come off.
Trip to Kielder winter wonderland tomorrow is off I think.

Aye, it was nuts up here too. Couple of folk i know had trees blown on to cars (one when on the way home from work! Thinks car is just a bit scratched up).
My folks were on a train from glasgow, but it stopped, so they had to find a hotel. Now on a bus home as all trains are still off.
Glad i wasn't going anywhere last night!
Some buildings had roof damage, but ours seems to have held on.
Hope simple's relatives get theirs sorted soon. Although i guess that's a move out job.

Just seen a friend has lost their chimney but its pulled the whole stack so now there’s just a six foot square hole in their roof

We’re staying in a cabin in Felton, Northumberland. Power went about 8pm last night, still not back. About 10 trees are down, including one that is straight across the driveway to this place so we can’t get out. It’s all a bit scary.

Plenty of trees down on the paths around here. Some real bigguns too. Little to none on properties in the village itself, and no power cuts. Think we lucked our really.

Holy shit. It's blowing a hoolie up here.
Lights going, flasks filled, but still ok so far, although i think half my town is sans power already. Got a zwift event later, so hope it holds out.
First world problems etc. 😀
This area is still struggling after the last massive storm fucked a load of trees up, and there's already a load more down apparently. I guess all the ones damaged last time are getting in on the act.
Guess we'll be lying low today...

This will do. I think I'm going to just sit and play a game as I've turned into my own worst enemy.
Was getting something from the cupboard under the stairs and managed somehow to open the door into my jaw, hard enough that I thought I might have damaged my teeth at first. How my hand and head got so confused I don't know.
Then I decided to get some coal in. The weather seemed a lot less windy which I took as a good sign as I opened the bunker. I was merrily (not at all merrily) shoveling coal into the bucket when the wind came back with a vengeance and slammed the bunker lid back down... Onto my head. It bloody hurt and still hurts. My neck also hurts from the impact.
I've been made a hot drink while I recover. I think if I touch it, I'll end up pouring it all other myself as I'm a liability right now. In fact, think I should put my phone down and remain very still and not touch anything.
