Feels a bit weird to have Tim Allen replaced by Captain America, and the CG almost looks too good for something Toy Story-related, but it looks good.
I like the use of Starman as the theme song, too.

I really like the look of this. Will be cool to have a decent sci-if animation. Not fussed about it not being Tim Allen because it’s not he toy.

I dunno they're very very different versions of the character. What with one being an anthropomorphised doll that magically comes to life and the other seemingly being an actual astronaut on a gritty space mission to save the galaxy.
The internet is obviously in uproar though. Or at least the shithole websites are trying to stir it up.

How strange. Isn't it technically a film within a film? I can see at the end we pull out from a TV screen and see toy Buzz Lightyear watching and making a knowing nod to Avengers.

Everything now boils down to politics. I wish I was a kid again coz these conversations suck all the time now. I just want to watch a kids movie and think about the kids movie as I’m watching it I understand the sentiment. Every film new or old now has an unavoidable accompanying social commentary whether it's Gone with the Wind or Predator, which can distract from simply switching off. I like the trailer, bit confused about whether it's in any way related to Toy Story, though I'm not planning on leaping to my feet in the cinema and screaming "This isn't canon!" at the children in the audience. |

I'm guessing the film will open in the Toy Story style with some people going to the cinema or something to see the Buzz Lightyear movie and it'll go from there.
Looks pretty cool IMO.
